Fire Heavily Damages Keizer House

The cause of the fire was determined to be suspicious.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - An early morning fire caused extensive damage to an abandoned house in Keizer on Tuesday Keizer Fire District officials said.

Keizer Firefighters were alerted to the fire at 5010 Windsor Island Rd. N at 2:23 AM on Tuesday morning.

The first unit arrived on the scene at 2:26 AM and reported that the front of the structure was heavily involved in fire.

Crews then attacked the flames. The fire was declared under control at 2:36 AM.

The abandoned home suffered heavy damage to the front of the structure which was thought to be a total loss.

Fire damage extended into the attic and a small area of the interior of the building.

Two engines, one medic, one duty officer vehicle, one fire investigation vehicle and 12 firefighters responded to the incident. No injuries were reported in the incident.

The cause of the fire was determined to be suspicious and remains under investigation by the Keizer Fire District and the Keizer Police Department.
