(MADRAS) - The family of Tom Tucker would like to thank the community of Madras and all of Central Oregon. Especially the people at Brightwood, the school district, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and the Oregon National Guard. They want everyone to know that it may seem like they are secluded with the roadblocks and extra security, but, they are very grateful for the outpouring of support, prayers, food and love that the community has shown. They are watching the news and can see all the support this community and the nation is providing. A number of family members have been to town and have taken photos of the signs, reader board messages, balloons, and yellow ribbons. The family has come to the realization that Tom has gained a much larger family through this ordeal than he had when he left home to go help to free the Iraqi people and protect his country from the threat of terrorism. At this time, the family is devastated at the news their son may have been killed. They ask for continuing respect for their privacy now at this time of difficulty. The entire family is praying for PFC Kristian Menchaca along with David Babineau.
