I am so sorry for his family. We have not stopped thinking about them since we heard. I am sorry for Marion and Polk CO S.O. and also for the responders who responded to the accident. This affects so many people, all who need our prayers and hugs and we all feel his loss.

If the lights were on the only thing the family of the driver of the crown victoria can hope is the driver died... otherwise that driver will (or should) be arrested in their hospital room for aggravated homicide of a police officer... Letter to moron drivers - If the lights are on and siren is going PULL THE F over. Its not only the law, its common sense! If the driver lived I hope the state throws the book at them and that the officer's family sues the snot out of them for wrongful death.

Why didnt the article headline say "Sheriff and Motorist Killed In Crash"?? Was the other motorist...insignificant ? They get a sentence more than half way through the article. A sentence. I would bet that the Sheriff was responsible for the accident too.
