(TUALATIN, Ore.) - The Tualatin Police Community Response Unit arrested an "Ecstasy" dealer last night, near his residence in SW Portland. The arrest was the result of an on going six month investigation. On January 29th of this year, Tualatin Police investigated the report of 2 people attempting to sell "Ecstasy" to employees of Jiggles. At that time Tualatin Patrol Officers seized over 300 "Ecstasy" tablets and charged 3 males with Possession of a Controlled Substance & Delivery of a Controlled Substance, MDMA, or "Ecstasy". Arrested at that time were 20-year-old Richard Um of Sherwood, 29-year-old Joshua Isakson of Tigard and 21-year-old Bradley Ovitt of Portland. In response to that case, the Tualatin Police Community Response Unit conducted an ongoing investigation with the assistance of the Washington County Westside Inter-Agency Narcotics Unit as well as the Portland Police Bureau Neighborhood Response Team, which resulted in the arrest of 23-year-old Ocie E. Rivers, of Portland. Rivers was lodged at the Multnomah County Jail on a $254,000.00 warrant charging him with Delivery of Substantial Quantity of MDMA, or "Ecstasy". Rivers is believed to be the dealer that supplied those arrested in January with the 300+ Ecstasy tablets and is being accused of selling Ecstasy and Cocaine to an undercover Tualatin Police Officer on numerous occasions. The initial investigation was a result of a citizen complaint and the Tualatin Police Department would like to encourage everyone to call police when they suspect any criminal activity or suspicious activity relating to drugs.
