I recently quit working at a convience store here in Salem we had beer runs almost daily. We are told there is nothing we can do to stop them. We get paid a very low wage for a very dangerous job. This was a second job for me just to get by and take care of kids. Convience store need to rethink there process to ensure the saftey of there wokers and to deter robberies.

The beer and drugs are a big problem in Salem and Oregon and the beer need to have locks on the cases they keep the beer in. Not having it out in the store sitting there in bag cases would stop this. When someone is working a minimum wage and they get hurt and no insurance it is sad. The person will have a lot of debt from medical. Remember when little giant marked use to be there and a very nice lady got killed. 3 or 4 men went in to rob the store. She told them to take the money but not to hurt her. She had children and this was a part time job to help support her children. I know there is a cut off time but they need to lock the alcohol up and not have cases sitting in the store where some one can grab it and run. No job is loos losing your life for someone else's money, Life is too short to die to save money for an alredy rich business.
