BP Oil Spill - A Poem

Sure, free access said the BP executives yet the media is denied,
Salem-News.com

(LOS ANGELES) - For many, the BP Oil Spill scandal has become something too large to grasp or properly react to. There is little progress, regardless of what they say, and there is the knowledge of it being an expression of greed; pushing Mother Nature's boundaries.

The lack of containment places wildlife in serious jeopardy, and an endless series of lies are an attempt to offer lame excuses by oil conglomerate BP.

That is what this poem is about. There are many aspects of this story to be examined and taken apart. There is the remaining need to resolve the massive leak, or bring it under control.

Then there are the delays, all points in the story that speak to a severe lack of safety and proper oversight. Memos that have been revealed, relate to how internal memos suggest money was more important than safety.

A good deal of time has passed since the oilrig Deepwater Horizon experienced disaster on 20 April 2010. Today we learn that much of the equipment was old. Why? Because BP and its related sub-contractors were cutting costs... since the bottom line is money, who cared about lives? Mothers & fathers of the workers, their children and wives?

BP Oil Spill

The Alaskan oil spill from the Exxon Valdez, what a way to go,
Drop in the bucket next to the BP disaster in the Gulf of Mexico,
Two examples of incompetence caused containment to go bust,
However, at least BP has a plan headed by Professor Peter Lutz.

What’s that? Now is not the time for jokes - too much is at stake,
No way, this 2009 plan has a flaw, where’s your proof it’s fake?
This Peter guy is deceased & his passing was in the year 2005?
Well, just how do you explain the fact that BP lists him as alive?

Eleven million gallons up north, down south multiply that by ten,
And keep the adding machine going because oil’s still pouring in,
When you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem,
So, just what in the heck is talking so long to begin & solve them?

Continual flow, lack of containment, wildlife in serious jeopardy,
Lie upon lie covered with lame excuses by oil conglomerate BP,
Let’s reverse for a moment to day one of this deadly catastrophe,
Internal memos suggest money was more important than safety.

An oilrig Deepwater Horizon by name is drilling for black gold,
4/20/10 now on 6/10/10 we learn much of the equipment was old,
Cutting costs, as the bottom line is money - who cared about lives?
Uh, mothers & fathers of the workers, their children and wives?

Methane leak, bad valve, explosion, fire, two days later it sinks,
Workers complained beforehand, no changes, something stinks,
And I do not mean the slick covering the Gulf to Florida’s coast,
Nor damage to the shrimp, fishing industry, not some but most.

That awful smell is coming from the mouths of those in charge,
Private jets, expensive cars, million dollar homes, living large,
Lives in peril were front line workers, who had families as well,
Is this the part where we say to the bosses may you burn in hell?

Was that federal agency, Minerals Management Service, too lax?
While the wallets of those involved in decisions were getting fat?
Scandalously close relationship, with oil companies they oversee,
Obama said, regulators weren’t tough on the oil and gas industry.

Mr. President, being soft is what pads their personal bank accounts,
An investigation needs to take flight and look into these amounts,
Cushy jobs for family, friends, home improvements, 1st class trips,
Week or two in the Bahamas, finest dining and luxury cruise ships.

Sure, free access said the BP executives yet the media is denied,
We thought there were no secrets, so what are they trying to hide?
The government, private corporations and finger pointing galore,
Funerals and law suits as oil still gushes from the ocean’s floor.

Luke Easter is a poet who writes about things that are very close to the heart of Salem-News.com. Another former U.S. Marine, Luke heals the world with an approach that reaches people on a different level, one known for centuries, yet too often forgotten in the one we live in.

We live in a world of social & economic injustice. The main reason for founding America in the first place was to relieve the oppression of the King of England. Patrick Henry said it best, “give me liberty or give me death.” And yet, all too often death seems to be the only way out. Why is there such a high suicide rate especially among teens, in the land of the free & the home of the brave? What makes headlines? Good news? Ha! More depressing stories than anything else. I feel poetry takes an edge off the hurt of bad news while still delivering it but in a, “glitzy” sort of way. Giving a different perspective. Kind of like a slap in the face as opposed to a knife in the back. At least with the slap you’ll live to see another day and you will know whom it’s from. I wasn’t here for the beginning of the world but at 59, I just might be here for the end.

Even though it’s still a knife, rhyme poetry helps to dull the blade. And that’s my job. You can write to Luke Easter at: lyricsfromlucas@aol.com

Oil Spill Eater II Testing of OSE II by Dr. Tsao of British Petroleum BioChem Strike Team Leader Regarding the Effectiveness of OSE II Remediating Oil from Deepwater Horizon, Blow Out, Gulf of Mexico British Petroleum tested Oil Spill Eater II at Louisiana State University. Relevant sections of BP’s BCST (Bio Chem Strike Team) test results are posted. British Petroleum formed the Bio Chem Strike Team (BCST). Under the direction of Dr. Tsao, BCST was established in response to the Deepwater Horizon incident by the Alternative Response Technology (ART) program. The BCST consisted of experts from BP, LSU, LDEQ (Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality), USCG (U.S. Coast Guard), OSPR (California), SCAT, and highly experienced oil spill response consultants. Furthermore, BCST operated in conjunction EPA and NOAA. The tests were conducted with Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometry EPA test procedures. PAH and Alkane degradation was quantified. OSE II showed a great ability to remediate PAH’s, and Alkanes. By the conclusion of the testing time frame, OSE II remediated 80% of both components of the oil. Based on total concentration levels of the PAH’s OSE II actually remediated 200 %of the PAH’s or 162% of the total of both oil fractions. released by BP which ended up in Bay Jimmy, Louisiana. This test by a major oil company is the second major testing of OSE II on two of the largest spills on water in the history of Earth caused by Man. Exxon tested OSE II in 1989 and discovered OSE II was the most effective product on Alaskan Crude oil from the Valdez spill. BP has now successfully tested OSE II on their spill in the Gulf of Mexico which is over 600,000,000 gallons of oil spilled. Dr. Tsao wrote “After nearly one year since the Deepwater Horizon spill, residual weathered oil remains in many locations. The need for a field trial to establish operational criteria for final bioremediation work plans should be initiated before early Spring 2011.” The OSEI Corporation after over 16,000 spill clean ups in the past 21½ years, stated the logistics in regard to the successful application of OSE II were worked out some time ago. The remediation of the PAH’s also verifies that OSE II is an effective first response bioremediation product, and has benefits: ) causes the oil to float which limits the negative toxic impact to the water column or ocean floor of the oil and dispersant ) reduction of the adhesion properties so the oil cannot stick to birds, grass, rock or sand on shorelines ) elimination of fire hazard ) proven non-toxic by the numerous toxicity tests, you can safely wash your hands with it, the TV news program in which Retired Rear Admiral Lively drank some of it ) OSE II causes the oil to float, because of the method in which it goes to work on the oil, it is still very difficult to see ) defined end point of turning the oil into water and CO2 OSE II is the best and only needed oil spill response that will, even at this late date, remediate oil and dispersant currently in the Gulf.

BP Finds solution to Gulf spill, OSE II
Testing of OSE II by Dr. Tsao of British Petroleum
David Tsao, Ph.D
BioChem Strike Team Leader; Deepwater Horizon

Regarding the Effectiveness of OSE II Remediating Oil from Deepwater Horizon, Blow Out, Gulf of Mexico
The major oil company British Petroleum tested OSEI Corporation’s product called Oil Spill Eater II (OSE II) at Louisiana State University from November 2010 through January 2011. Relevant sections of BP’s BCST (Bio Chem Strike Team) test results and summary “interim report” are attached.
British Petroleum formed a group named the Bio Chem Strike Team (BCST). Furthermore, BCST operated in conjunction with advice from EPA and NOAA.
OSE II was then slated for testing and the tests were started in November of 2010, and concluded in January of 2011. The tests were very thorough and measured several pertinent aspects in regards to remediating hydrocarbons/oil. The tests were conducted with Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometry EPA test procedures. Bacteria counts, as well as dissolved oxygen, nitrogen, and phosphorous levels were measured, and PAH and Alkane degradation was quantified.
The results from the tests of OSE II were excellent and demonstrated the statements we have made to BP regarding the effectiveness of the product as being factual.
OSE II showed a great ability in the closed laboratory test to be able to remediate PAH’s, as well as the Alkanes. In fact, by the conclusion of the testing time frame, OSE II had remediated 80% of both components of the oil released by BP which ended up in Bay Jimmy, Louisiana.
This test by a major oil company is the second major testing of OSE II on two of the largest spills on water in the history of planet Earth caused by Man. Exxon tested OSE II in 1989 at Florham Park, New Jersey and discovered OSE II was the most effective product in the world by a factor of better than 90% on the North Slope Alaskan Crude oil from the Valdez spill.
BP has now successfully tested OSE II on their spill in the Gulf of Mexico which is estimated, at this time, to be over 6,000,000 gallons of oil spilled.
Dr. Tsao wrote in his report “After nearly one year since the Deepwater Horizon spill, residual weathered oil remains in many locations. The need for a field trial to establish operational criteria for final bioremediation work plans should be initiated before early Spring 2011.”
The OSEI Corporation has alerted BP that, after over 16,000 spill clean ups in the past 21½ years, the logistics in regard to the successful application of OSE II were worked out some time ago.
The remediation of the PAH’s also verifies that OSE II is an extremely effective first response bioremediation product, and has among its many benefits:
) causes the oil to float which limits the negative toxic impact to the water column or ocean floor of the oil and dispersant
) the reduction of the adhesion properties so the oil cannot stick to birds, grass, rock or sand on shorelines
) the elimination of fire hazard
) proven non-toxic by the numerous formal toxicity tests, the fact that you can safely wash your hands with it, and the TV news program in which Retired Rear Admiral Lively drank some of it
) Boom deployment actually works and can help since OSE II causes oil to float
) OSE II causes the oil to float, because of the method in which it goes to work on the oil, it is still very difficult to see
) defined end point of turning the oil into water and CO2
The above clearly demonstrate that it is the best and only needed oil spill response and that it will, even at this late date, remediate both fresh and weathered oil and dispersant currently in the Gulf.

Very good! Interesting metaphor of the stench coming from the breath of the greedy. I also wrote a poem riffing on the fake environmental protection plans that BP submitted. It's called "The Walrus and the Oil Man" and it's on Helium.com. There oughta be an anthology.

IF that is true, sir, and you did NOT report what you say you knew, you committed what might well be considered as treason, given the terrible consequences.

Your words show either utter contempt for readership OR no common sense left at all, and since this, as all other blogs too, are surveilled by those who should do so, you may find your words under close check by authorities, rapidly.

Dunno where that leaves S-N, but surely it should be seen as further demonstration of dangers in using anonymous comments, since it is well known all-such are now under rather tight scrutiny for obvious reasons in the world climate.

Given current Presidential status, all such comments are under scrutiny, you can bet on that...

ANY anonymous comment, years of communications research shows, is "made in the shade" for concealment OR psychological reasons. Which for you ? If you dare not put real-name on what you write, better think twice on what it states. No matter how much you made, nor how valid your facts OR your experience, presenting it from deep-shade of spurious anonymity is simple contempt of channel, since easy-use new tech makes emailer evident if anyone wishes to use-same. SO why hide ? If worth the attention and time of readers, it's worth signing, and real meaning cannot be known with hidden source... That's WHY responsible publications have used by-lines now for past couple of centuries, and few permit hidden-face/comment since its purpose today, via paid-shill effort for political pander, is most obviously intended. Big claims in hidden-source words are meaningless for any astute reader --which is why most publications wastebarrel them.

Lindsey Williams was on the Alex Jones radio show Thursday. Say what ya will, but people like them, keeping me informed about what the elite are up to, have not only proven accurate, but I have made quite a bit of money because I knew what they were up to. ie: 2008, I knew oil was going to drop from $147 to $40, I knew about 911 6 weeks before it happened also. First of all, good article by Luke. Altho many signs pointed to a false flag, it was not a false flag. It was an accident. They drilled in too deep of water, it was a dangerous thing to do. This is why goldman sachs dumped half their stock, they knew it was dangerous. The oil spill cant be stopped. Their only option will be a nuclear device. It will take months to set it up. If it works, BP wont be in such a bad situation, if it doesnt, well, ever read the book of revelations? Also, here are the volatile organic compounds along with the oil. Hydrogen sulfide - 1200 PPB (safe levels are 10 PPB) Benzine - 3000 PPB (safe level is 4 PPB) Methaline chloride 3000 PPB (safe level 70 PPB). These chemicals cause in short term, nausea/headaches etc, longer term is things such as leukemia. This last comment will probably get my post deleted, but, truth is truth: obama will use the rham emmanuel words of not letting a crisis go to waste, to promote his fascist agendas much quicker.
