(BEAVERTON, Ore.) - Beaverton Police say they received information this morning at 8:15 a.m. from a Florida agency stating they believed a woman they were seeking on a nationwide warrant had been located in the Beaverton area.

Detective Pam Yazzolino with Beaverton P.D. says a new break would ultimately be just what the Florida authorities were looking for.

"The Criminal Investigations Division from the Port Orange Police Department contacted us explaining they had new information regarding 33-year old Mariah Noelle Rambo and her thirteen-year old son's whereabouts.

She says it was relayed that Rambo had a warrant for her arrest for having removed the child from the state of Florida, contrary to a court order.

"Investigators wanted her arrested on kidnapping charges and their updated information led them to Beaverton, Oregon," Yazzolino said.

Beaverton detectives assisted the Port Orange Police Department by going to the complex where Rambo was believed to be living.

Yazzolino said, "Once there they learned she had rented an apartment the day before. Detectives stayed in the area and contacted Rambo as she drove into the complex a short time later, arresting her on the Florida warrant.

DHS took the 13-year old boy into protective custody and will provide care until arrangements are made for him to return to his father in Florida.
