Missing 21-Year Old Man Located in Polk County

(DALLAS, Ore.) - UPDATE: 2:03 p.m. 5 June 2010: On Saturday, June 05, 2010 at about 8:00 a.m., an off duty Polk County Search and Rescue member recognized a male sitting in the Riverview Park, City of Independence, Polk County.

This search and rescue member recognized this male as Mr. Brandon Barrette, who was reported as a missing person on June 3rd, from a county park located at the end of Halls Ferry Road, Polk County. Riverview Park is located about 2 1/2 miles south of the county park located off of Halls Ferry Road. Independence Police contacted Mr. Barrette and confirmed it was him. Mr. Barrette was polite and did not require any medical attention. Immediate family was notified that he had been found.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about a missing person.

They say 21-year old Brandon Barrette went missing around 12:30 p.m. on 3 June 20010 from the Social Security Fishing Hole park on Halls Ferry Rd in Polk County.

Mr. Barrette was last seen walking south towards Independence, according to a news released issued by the Poli County Sheriff's Office.

They have search crews on scene.

The sheriff's office is requesting help with information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Barrette.

He has been known to wander and may be headed to Michigan.

He was last seen wearing a red jacket, blue jeans, black tennis shoes and carrying a large green duffel bag.
