Just to set the record straight!

(MOLALLA, Ore.) - My recent story about this in Salem-News.com brought on an almost ridiculous charge that I was printing anti-Islam stereotype propaganda. The accuser doesn’t know anything about me so I am telling him off!

I had firey red hair as a child. Only about 2% of the population here have red hair. My classmates thought it was fake like Ronald McDonald’s afro and constantly tried to pull it out. I fought almost every boy in my classes. Yes, I was persecuted. After that I was much more tolerant of different folks. I have friends of every color, ethnicity and religion.

My first real job was in Georgia where color discrimination was rife. I could barely tolerate it but I did.

I then went to Puerto Rico where people are of every color. I was asked by my boss, “Do you have any prejudices?”

“Yes, I am prejudiced against people who are prejudiced!”

I was invited by the University of London to teach and train the first doctors in Tanzania which has every kind of color and religious background. I had no problems even thought I was in a distinct minority.

While I was in Uganda I became in effect foster father to a Pakistani Muslim young man and even sponsored him to come to the U.S. after Idi Amin tried to have him killed. He is now a millionaire in L.A.

Yes, I am prejudiced against readers and correspondents who make really foolish assertions about my writing “yellow journalistic smut”.
