Portland Police Investigating Possible Gang Related Shooting

So far, police have found no gunshot victims, and are asking for the public's help in their investigation.

(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - Portland Police are investigating what could be a gang related shooting Wednesday afternoon in NE Portland.

Portland Police spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson says officers responded at 3:43 p.m., to multiple 9-1-1 calls of shots fired in the area of Northeast 12th Avenue and Schuyler Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they located evidence of gunfire on Schuyler, between 11th and 12th Avenues, including one vehicle struck by a bullet.

Simpson said no victims have been located yet, and witnesses described two different groups of African American males in the area, with one person from one group firing at the other group.

The Gang Enforcement Team is on scene to investigate the shooting.
