Two Vehicle Crash Sends One to Hospital

Salem Police is conducting an investigation of the accident.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - The Salem Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident located at the intersection of Cottage Street NE and Court Street NE on Tuesday at 8:53 AM.

First arriving firefighter/paramedics discovered a Lincoln Town car and a Chevrolet Pickup had collided.

The driver of the Lincoln Town car, a 55-year old male had to be extricated by firefighter/paramedics and was transported to Salem Hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the Pickup, a 60-year old male was evaluated by firefighter/paramedics and was not transported.

A two block radius of the intersection was closed for approximately 90 minutes.

Salem Police is conducting an investigation of the accident.
