Salem Man in Critical Condition Following Shooting

(SALEM, Ore.) - A report of a shooting in Salem at 3:45 a.m., Friday morning, led to response from sheriff's deputies, dispatched to a residence in the 4500 block of Juliana Loop, SE in Salem to investigate.

Don Thomson with the Marion County Sheriff's Office, says the initial report was that there had been a shooting at the residence.

"Deputies arrived within minutes to find a 20-year old male subject suffering from a gunshot wound."

Thomson says the victim was transported to the Salem Hospital in critical condition.

The case remains under investigation with the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
