Investigation Continues into Home Invasion Robbery In Willamina

Police say the two are considered armed and dangerous.

(WILLAMINA, Ore.) - The investigation into a home invasion robbery in Willamina entered its second day Friday. 40-year old John William Voigt of 134 NW First Street in Willamina was the victim of a robbery reported at 8:13 AM Thursday.

Voigt was transported via Life Flight helicopter to OHSU Hospital in Portland after he was discovered by his son, beaten and incoherent in his home.

Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree said his office has "pulled out all stops" in an effort to locate two persons of interest in the incident.

He says they believe that 33-year old Shay Kili Charley and 19-year old Marlin Dwain Tolbert III Aka: Casey Tolbert, have direct information pertaining to this incident.

"We have obtained temporary warrants charging these men with Assault in the First Degree. We believe that they may be armed, and should be considered extremely dangerous".

Crabtree says Charley and Tolbert may still be operating a white 1997 Toyota Tacoma 4 wheel drive extended cab pickup that was stolen from the victim. The truck bears Oregon license number VKY017, and has black fender flares and blue graphics on the doors.

Crabtree has asked that anyone locating this vehicle immediately call 911. Anyone with other information on the case contact his Detective Division at 503 434-7506.

Shay Charley is described as 5'11", 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair, he is considered armed and dangerous.

Marlin Dwain “Casey” Tolbert is 6'02" tall, 195 pounds with brown eyes and hair. Tolbert has a scar above his left eye, and the initials “KC” on his left hand. He is considered armed and dangerous.
