(SILVERTON) - Jennifer Steffen, Miss Rodeo Oregon 2007, has been named the proud representative of Professional Rodeo and the State of Oregon. Jennifer was raised in Silverton, Oregon by her parents Randy and Laurie Steffen. She is a graduate of Silverton high school and is currently attending Concorde Career Institute's surgical technician program where she will graduate in January 2007. Jennifer developed her love for rodeo while she was very young. While growing up, she attended the St Paul Rodeo each year as was family tradition and eventually led her to participating in both youth and high school rodeo. After her first year of college Jennifer found herself missing the rodeo life and returned to the St Paul Rodeo as the 2004 Princess on the St Paul Rodeo Royal Court and as the Queen in 2005. Jennifer decided she wanted to promote the western way of life and the spirit of rodeo to the great state of Oregon. In July 2006 Jennifer found herself vying for the title of Miss Rodeo Oregon and was crowned on July 3rd, 2006. As Miss Rodeo Oregon 2007, Jennifer will travel over 30,000 miles throughout Oregon and the western United States with her trusty steed, "Alvin," in an effort to promote Oregon’s 19 Professional Rodeos. Isn't that a little strong? What you say about the state of the nation may be true, but this is a personal accomplishment and nobody should be denied that. There are cool cowboys and they don't always support bush.

Until she becomes political and exposes the Ziegfried and Roy magic act of the 9/11 media and government illusion, I have no use for her or the kind of meaningless fluff she represents. We have important issues in this country and do not need more social climbers trying to make a name for themselves.
