(SALEM, Ore. ) - On Saturday just after noon, Marion County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to 7105 Hazelgreen Rd. NE. for a report of a single vehicle crash that had caught fire. I have to say I witnessed this accident. This man was in a burning car for what seemed to be forever. My brother in law has a farm right down the road from where this accident occured. He and a couple of his employees were the first to respond to this accident. They immediately began to extinguish the fire. They saw Mr. Janes moving inside his vehicle and new they had to help. There were other on lookers telling them that they were dumb for doing that and that Mr. Janes was for sure dead. They did not give up. Due to not enough man power the only thing they were able to do is control the fire until the fire department got there to put the fire out. They saved Mr. Janes life and noone has said anything or asked one question. They risked their lives to save his and I hope at least Mr. Janes knows that. One of the men who helped Mr. Janes was later that night hit by a car while on his four wheeler farming. He suffered minor injuries luckily. Goes to show, what goes around comes around. Save a life you get life.
