Milwaukie, Oregon Woman Arrested on Six Counts of Arson

(MILWAUKIE, Ore. ) - Oregon State Police Arson & Explosives Section detectives arrested a Milwaukie-area woman Thursday afternoon on six counts of Arson in the First Degree related to an investigation of a townhouse fire May 23rd at 17814 SE Addie Road in Milwaukie.

At 12:35 PM, Mary Jane Scott, age 46, was arrested without incident at her home in Milwaukie.

She was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail with bail set at $300,000.

On May 23rd, Clackamas Fire District #1 firefighters responded to the scene of a townhouse fire on SE Addie Road.

The fire caused extensive damage to two units, one of which was next door and was occupied by two adults and two children who escaped their unit.

Witnesses placed Scott at the scene.

A joint investigation by a Clackamas Fire District #1 fire investigator, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and OSP Arson detectives led to a grand jury indictment and warrant for her arrest.
