(SALEM) - Marion County Street Crimes Detectives assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, served a search warrant at 5:00 AM Friday at 4535 State St in northeast Salem. Sheriff’s spokesman Kevin Rau says investigators seized 5 grams of heroin, 9 grams of meth and 2 grams of dried marijuana from inside the home and from a car belonging to one of those arrested. Deputies on the scene say they also seized were two firearms, and about $400 in cash. The eight adults arrested were 55-year-old Sandra Edzars, 57-year-old Wayne Burgess, 52-year-old Kenneth Staniford, 18-year-old Kari Burgess, 40-year-old John W. Morton, 65-year-old John L. Morton, 64-year-old Glenn Hatchew Jr and 32-year-old Jose Herrera-Villanueva. A 17-year-old female was arrested as well Rau said. All were charged with an array of drug related charges which included possession and distribution of controlled substances and frequenting and maintaining a place where drugs are used or sold. Staniford also had an outstanding arrest warrant for a parole violation. All are either live at the address or are transient. All of the adults were booked at the Marion County Jail. Ya know some of these people are my family,.and I love them and you didnt have to putt them on here. They are the sweetest people you will ever meet. Noone is perfect!!

Look at the pictures of the people. Aside from the underage female, all drugs should be legal for all adults. We don't need tax money going to police for people who either need psychiatric help or detox or people who can't cope and want to blow their brains out on drugs. They are to be helped, not punished. Or they may want to die..it is their life.
