(ALBANY, Ore. ) - The City of Albany wants you to BE AWARE! of a upcoming road construction project that could put a damper on your travels through the city. Beginning Monday, Main Street will be CLOSED to through traffic between 1st and 4th Avenues to facilitate construction of street improvements on Main Street. Local access for residents and to businesses will be maintained during the work. A signed detour will be in effect 24 hours a day and will route through traffic around the area. The work requiring the street closure is anticipated to be completed by mid-September. The work is being done as part of the construction of the Main Street Roundabout. The City of Albany thanks drivers in advance for their patience during the work. Any questions should be directed to the City of Albany Public Works Department at 541-917-7676.
