(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem, Oregon is just one place people can take their families to enjoy a fireworks display on the 4th of July. The annual event is held at Riverfront Park, it begins at dusk. Keizer is also going to have a fireworks display tonight; catch the action following the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes Game against the Tri-City Dust Devils. The Portland/Vancouver has Oregon's biggest and best fireworks display. In fact, the 4th of July celebration at the Historic Reserve in Vancouver is the largest fireworks show west of the Mississippi. If you need directions from Salem: Take I-5 North, Exit at Mill Plain Boulevard, (exit 1C) Turn left from the off-ramp and park in downtown Vancouver. The Northwest's biggest fireworks display begins at 10:00 PM. Polk County residents don't have to travel very far for their July 4th celebration. A fireworks display in the Independence/Monmouth area takes place at Riverview Park, it begins at 10:00 PM. Woodburn is also having a patriotic fireworks display, theirs begins at dusk in Centennial Park. Stayton is having a fireworks display at Stayton High School, that is slated to begin at dusk. The Oregon coast will have two fireworks shows Many residents anticipate the fireworks display in the historic Taft District of Lincoln City. That show often sees the beaches packed, that show begins at dusk. Newport will also have a fireworks show on Yaquina Bay at South Beach. Fireworks over the Bay begins at dusk. The St. Paul area will have a fireworks following the 7:30 PM Rodeo. Mt. Angel will also hold a fireworks display at dusk, their is being held at John F. Kennedy High School. McMinnville's fireworks display happens again this year, go to the Patton Middle School in Mac to enjoy their 4th of July celebration at dusk. Mill City is the scene of another July 4th celebration and fireworks display. The Mill City event is held at Kimmel Park and begins at dusk. Willamina will hold a display at the Old Willamina High School Football Field, their celebration begins at dusk. McMinnville fireworks are no longer held at Patton Middle School. They are now at the air museum with a charge of $4.00 per car.
