Be Aware! Salem - Polk County Weekly Road Construction Report

Use alternate routes if possible if your commute takes you through one of these workzones.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - The City of Salem Public Works Department and the Polk County Department of Public Works wants you to Be Aware! of some upcoming road construction projects this week that could delay your commute.

Please make a note of these projects, and if your commute takes you through one of these workzones, PLEASE! slow down, and expect some delays.

Salem-Area Road Construction Report:

Doaks Ferry Rd NW Between Wallace Rd NW and Brush College Rd NW. Monday and Tuesday; 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Doaks Ferry Rd NW between Wallace Rd NW and Brush College Rd NW will be reduced to one lane of traffic with flaggers. This lane closure is for installation of water lines for a development project. Expect some congestion at this location.

Sunnyview Rd NE Between Evergreen Ave NE and Lansing Ave NE. Monday through Friday; 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Sunnyview Rd NE between Evergreen Av NE and Lansing Av NE will be reduced to one lane of traffic with flaggers. This lane closure is for installation of sewer services for a development project. Expect some congestion at this location.

Doris Ave SE East of Bluff Ave SE. Monday through 9/2; 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Closure of dead end for installation of utilities and street improvement for new development.

Polk County Road Construction Report:

Ballston Road will have shoulder rock placement and striping on Friday, June 29th through Friday, July 13th. No work will take place on Sunday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect minimal delays.

Bethel Road will have shoulder rock placement and striping on Friday, June 29th through Friday, July 13th. No work will take place on Sunday. Travelers should expect minimal delays.

Broadmead Road will have shoulder rock placement and striping begin on Friday, June 29th through Friday, July 13th. No work will take place on Sunday. Travelers should expect minimal delays.

Perrydale Road will be paved Friday, June 29th through Monday, July 2nd. No work will take place on Sunday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20-minute delay. Shoulder rock placement and striping will begin on Monday, July 2nd through Friday, July 13th. Travelers should expect minimal delays.

Airlie Road will be paved Friday, June 29th through Sunday, July 1st. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20-minute delay. Shoulder rock placement will begin on Thursday, July 5th through Friday, July 13th. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect minimal delays.

Perrydale Road - North will have shoulder rock placement and striping done on Friday, June 29th through Friday, July 13th. No work will take place on Sunday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect minimal delays.

DeJong Road will be paved on Saturday, June 30th through Monday July 2nd. Travelers should expect up to a 20-minute delay.

Helmick Road will be closed to through traffic from Stapleton Road to Elkins Road on Monday, July 2nd through Thursday, July 5th. Local access and emergency vehicles will be allowed through. Use alternate routes between 7:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

Elkins Road will be paved Monday, July 2nd through Saturday, July 7th. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20-minute delay.

Berry Creek Road will be paved Friday, July 13th through Monday, July 16th. No work will be done on Sunday. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20-minute delay.

Ellendale Road - West, ½ mile south of Rickreall Creek will be closed on Monday, July 9th through Friday, July 20th. Local access and emergency vehicles will be allowed through. All other traffic should use alternate routes. This project is being performed by the City of Dallas.

Maxfield Creek Road will be paved Monday, July 9th through Friday, July 13th. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20-minute delay.

Maple Grove Road will be paved Wednesday, July 11th through Friday, July 13th. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20-minute delay.

Bridgeport Road will be paved Monday, July 16th through Friday, July 20th. Pilot cars will be used and travelers should expect up to a 20-minute delay
