Terrorist Convoys Increasingly Targeted in Syrian and Russian Air StrikesSalem-News.com Foreign Affairs
Supply convoys are going up in flames in Syria.
(SALEM, Ore.) - Russian warplanes struck convoys Friday that were crossing from Turkey into Syria, 30 tankers were targeted in one convoy; 20 were carrying oil. Other trucks were carrying logistical aide to terrorists. The trucks were all completely destroyed during that air raid.
Xinhua reports. Terrorist news sources confirmed that dozens of Takfiri terrorists were killed and wounded in the attack, and the injured were taken to Turkey for treatment.
Russian warplanes struck other convoys crossing from Turkey into Syria that day, according to The Brics Report. Russian airstrikes also targeted weapon depots near the rebel controlled Bab al-Hawa border-crossing and a rebel battalion that was also in the vicinity of Bab al-Hawa. Many militants were reportedly killed, though no exact figures were reported.
Another convoy was struck days ago by the Syrian Air Force consisting of 20 tankers that were smuggling oil from territories held by ISIS on the al-Mayadin Highway near the city of Dayr al-Zawr.
