(PORTLAND, Ore. ) - The Oregon Department of Transportation and Oregon State Police have CLOSED Interstate 84 eastbound between Troutdale and Hood River for indefinite period due to a fatal crash and icy, hazardous conditions in the Columbia River Gorge.

In the Oregon Coast Range, U.S. Highway 26 eastbound and westbound lanes from Staley's Junction to 6 miles east of U.S. Highway 101 Junction is temporarily CLOSED.

Temporary closure is due to icy conditions. No time estimate on when the road may reopen.

NW Cornelius Pass Road has reopened between NW Skyline Blvd. and US Highway 30 after being closed for several hours this morning after icy conditions led to several vehicle crashes. The accidents have been cleared and road crews have sanded the road.

For updates on road conditions, highway closures, delays and weather conditions, call 511 or (800) 977-6368 in Oregon. Outside of Oregon call (503) 588-2941. Or, check TripCheck.com on the Internet.
