Former Teacher Jailed Over Sex Offenses Involving Student

(SALEM, Ore.) - A Phoenix, Oregon man was arrested today at around 5:00 PM by Marion County, 41-year old Andrew Bolsinger was on charges of Rape and Sodomy in the 1st degree. Jason Myers with the Marion County Sheriff's Office says Bolsinger was also charged with 5 counts of sexual abuse in the second degree and Custodial Interference in the first degree. This arrest is a result of an investigation conducted by Marion County Sheriff's Office Detectives who were contacted in September 2007 by a former female student of the Willamette Valley Christian School in Brooks, Oregon. This student reported having a sexual relationship with a former teacher/coach, Bolsinger, in the spring of 2000. The victim was 16 years old at the time of the incident. Myers says Bolsinger is no longer employed with the school and has not been employed at the school since May of 2000.
