Public Invited to Legislative Workshop in Salem

The workshop also will provide information about how to track bills and access other information on the Legislature’s website.

(SALEM) - Oregonians interested in tips on how best to work with the State Legislature are invited to a free workshop next week at the State Capitol.

“How to Participate in the Legislative Process,” will be offered Monday, January 29th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in Hearing Room E of the Capitol, 900 Court St., NE.

Senate President Peter Courtney, Representative Diane Rosenbaum, lobbyist Bruce Bishop and others will participate in a panel discussion describing how the public can participate most effectively in the legislative process.

The workshop also will provide information about how to track bills and access other information on the Legislature’s website and how to contact legislators and staff.

Legislative staff Rick Berkobien and Daniel Russell will moderate the workshop.

Although the workshop is free, seating is limited so please call (503) 986-1000 to confirm your attendance.

Hope content of this one will be perpetuated on websites so those unable to attend can still benefit. Isn't it about time for Oregon to offer citizens full working help to prepare ideas as legislative proposals ? Some I hear from citizens sure beat what cometh from others-elected !!
