(SALEM) - We expect 2013 to be a good year for Salem-News.com for a number of reasons, but we are critically short of revenue at this point and therefore issue our appeal for help which we only do when it is absolutely necessary.

Everything helps, and it is always amazing and touching that people with little often share the most. As our readers know, our efforts are continuous and fruitful and many articles we carry have the potential to save a life. Some have, this is something we can all feel very good about.

But it is hard to carry news only governed by truth, and that is exactly what we do. In fact, we could write a book about how little mainstream support there is for honest journalism; that precious data not first filtered for corporate cooperation before being released.

We cover news all over the world with an emphasis on human rights. We convey messages for peace and clarity and also support Veterans and the illnesses caused by war.
