Jan-08-2009 18:23TweetFollow @OregonNews Israel is Slaughtering Innocent Children at GazaTim King Salem-News.comMore than 758 Palestinians have died, including 257 children. More than 3,000 Palestinians have also been wounded, and over a third are kids.
(SALEM, Ore.) - War certainly is a bit like golf when it comes to keeping track of casualties; the lower the number the better. Israel's military might, backed largely by tax dollars from a now-dwindling U.S. economy, has never been the question; indeed it is a tried and true machine capable of annihilating hugh numbers of people. The IDF is performing its well rehearsed death dance at a feverish pace in Gaza. And when it comes to the score, the Israeli's are the dominant victors. 700 Palestinian on the Gaza Strip are dead, and about a third of those killed by the Israeli Defense Forces are children. Over the same 13-day period, ten Israelis have died, including seven soldiers, four of which died by so-called friendly fire. The revelation about who is doing the dying there may explain why Israel has blocked journalists from Gaza. It will likely lead to more reprisals from other Islamic militants as the Israeli's do their best to eliminate the elected political party Hamas, known throughout the west as a terrorist oganization. It is also reported that tens of thousands of Palestinians have fled their homes in the southern town of Rafah. Israel has been taking three hour truces and dropping leaflets advising Palestenians that they should vacate their homes to avoid being hurt or killed by the invading Israeli military forces. When considering the 250 plus dead kids, it may be fair to assume that enough leaflets are not being dropped. Although the Israeli government has agreed to a ceasefire, their military is not following suit. U.N. Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon was on the phone this morning with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal in an attempt to reach Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Ban says he is “is appealing urgently to the Security Council to come to a binding agreement to this effect, so this devastating violence can be brought to an end,” spokesperson Michele Montas told reporters. Israel Attacks U.N. Food Delivery Drivers On the subject of the United Nations, it was reported today that is a lifeline for 750,000 Palestinian refugees in Gaza has been severed, as Israel attacked United Nations forces delivering humanitarian aid to hungry people cut off from regular life by the military strikes. Sorely needed food delivery operations stopped today after Israeli strikes killed one of the U.N. drivers and injured a second. These U.N. drivers had received Israeli clearance to move through the area they were attacked in. The UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said the clearly marked convoy carrying a U.N. flag and picking up supplies at the Erez crossing into Gaza had been coordinated with Israeli liaison officers who gave the green light. A second equally coordinated and marked U.N. medical convoy on its way to fetch the body of an UNRWA staffer killed in an earlier bombardment came under light arms fire in Gaza City. "This is heartbreaking… a very, very difficult decision for us to take," UNRWA Director of Operations in Gaza John Ging told a news conference at UN Headquarters in New York, speaking by video link from Gaza. "The population here are in a dreadful state and really need our help at this point but we have also a responsibility to our staff, and eager as they are, and believe me they are, we cannot fly in the face of the security situation." While UNRWA is perfectly prepared for reasonable risks in a conflict zone, "added to those is the fact that we cannot rely on firm commitments given by the Israeli side, carefully coordinated with them, green lights given to move… specifics provided, carefully coordinated throughout, and to have the Israeli forces on the ground firing at and now hitting aid workers." Ging said Israel was investigating the Erez incident, which came two days after Israeli shelling near an UNRWA school killed 40 people and injured more than 100. Israel said it was returning fire from the area of the school. U.N. officials stressed there were no Hamas or other militants inside the school. The attacks of vehicles with U.N. flags flying is a flashback to the Israeli attack on the U.S.S. Liberty during the Six Day War in 1967; when Israeli jet fighters attacked a flagged American warship with repeated air strikes, killing 34 U.S. Navy sailors and injuring 171. The Americans commanding the vessel said the Israeli's clearly knew they were American; allies of Israel, like the United Nations. (see my article: The Day Israel Attacked the United States) The body of another U.N. worker killed in a bombing several days ago was found today. U.N. officials say the suspension of food for Palestinians would continue until they received adequate assurances from Israel that such incidents will not be repeated. As the Israeli's have intensified their assault on the Gaza Strip, Palestinians report dozens of air strikes overnight, with attacks hitting homes, mosques and tunnels. At least twenty-nine Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks Wednesday, including a family of four traveling in their car in Beit Lahia. The U.N. new reports the Palestinian death toll stands at 758, including 257 children. ----------------------------------------------------- Articles for January 7, 2009 | Articles for January 8, 2009 | Articles for January 9, 2009 | Quick Links

tim: late getting back to you. I wrote in my post that israel broke the truce! I agreed! :-) Harumph..you should learn how the media works. and you should check out how much israeli money goes to politicians. I would also check on the author of the link you wrote. Sorry, but I cant do EVERYONES homework! :-) But just for you, here is a video how the media works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kiyyp9cZdY0andfeature=related here is a link that shows how much money israel gives congress and other legislatures: http://www.wrmea.com/archives/November_2008/pdfs/nov08pac-charts.pdf Keep in mind after viewing the tons of money israel gives our legislature, that, they also own the banks, who take out taxes, who then give our tax money to the legislatures. One last quote for you: "Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that, I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." - Ariel Sharon (Prime Minister of Israel) p† Israeli Hebrew radio, Kol Yisrael, 3 october 2001.

Hrump: Re yours 1/9 6:02 pm, and mine 1/20 12:40 pm: Here's "see with own eyes"from national-source on Internet: Dead Gaza fighters "bulldozed into piles". "They used a bulldozer to pile up the bodies of the dead. There were bodies of many fighters," said the man, who was released by the Israelis after five days of detention and allowed to return to Gaza. http://tinyurl.com/8xycrx Question for you, sir, now, demanding rapid response here: Would you drive one of those bulldozers covering bodies with sand ?

To all: Whenever one encounters those whose only answer for those in dissent is that they all be "Killed. Erased. Fini.", then one knows precisely what is being encountered. With such "judgment" openly demonstrated in own words, civil or any other kind of conversation has become impossible, with the only remedy rapid, sure mental treatment by professional specialists. Within any civil society, how can any less be expected than that those who are so inclined be given the humanitarian treatment obviously required ? But perhaps a famous response in like-situation may also come to mind: Joseph Welch, the Army’s chief legal counsel, said in 1954 when Sen. McCarthy attacked the patriotism of a young Boston lawyer who had worked for Welch: “Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?” "See with own eyes", then also "evaluate with own mind" on this one, too.

Hrump: Re yours and link, just now checked, only possible retort re "veracity, logic, reason and fact" is "How would YOU know ANY of them ?" See my response to your other mewlings under another thread here.

Here's an actually INTELLIGENT take on what's going on... http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/01/AR2009010101780.html Krauthammer nails it down. Veracity, logic, reason, and facts.

thanks for the link Tim..I sent it around also. Ya know, it is so much bigger than what we think. Yahoo is what opens when I sign on. I just do it to see what mainstream is saying. The lies are unbelievable, and they are getting better at it every day. The zionists own the U.S. media, along with lobbying and paying congress off. Anyway, enough ranting. Just wondering when it will be playing in a theatre near us. Dont want to be an anarchist, dont even know if I can spell it right or what it really means. Defend the Constitution from foreign and domestic enemies. I really love people Tim. I love my neighbors, and I want peace. I seem to cry alot. But ok, I am strong. Thru Christ. Vic: yes, our tax dollars at work. This is the year I figure out a way not to pay taxes anymore.
Harumph January 9, 2009 6:02 pm (Pacific time)
This is 100% the fault of HAMAS, who is busying burying their operations so that they always place women and children in between them and their 'enemies'. I'm sorry, I have absolutely no complaint with what they're doing. Israel needs to continue operations until HAMAS and Fatah are GONE. Period. Killed. Erased. Fini. Then and only then, is there any hope for the Palestinians.
Henry Ruark January 9, 2009 11:47 am (Pacific time)
Rich et al: Yours re ownership of the media is only partially correct, sir. But your inference for social impacts via that control is far more erroneous, as well known to anyone working "in the media". Have you ever been so employed, sir ? If so, cite that experience to bolster your otherwise fragmented credibility by such statement from unknown antecedents, and unsupported by any other known authority with integrity and actual lifetime experience. Your unsavory hint at worldwide control exerted for malign purposes is the content of conspiracy theories long disproven. Can you cite any impartisan documentation ?
Wire Story January 9, 2009 9:13 am (Pacific time)
The below just hit the wires so things may worsen (very likely) if one considers the make-up of the incoming administration and their close blood ties to Israel: "Obama: Iran as threat but US should try diplomacy 09 Jan 2009 16:24:03 GMT Source: Reuters WASHINGTON, Jan 9 (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Barack Obama said on Friday he views Iran as a "genuine threat" but still favors initiating a dialogue with the Islamic republic. Asked about Iran at a news conference, Obama said he would not go into detail on his policy toward Tehran because of the principle that there is only one president at a time. But he said, "I have said in the past during the course of the campaign that Iran is a genuine threat to U.S. national security."

Liz you saw via the "foreign press" that Americam soldiers are blocking fleeing refugees. I certainly don't believe the western news agencies would censor that if it were true, do you? But have you ever researched to see who are the majority (controllers) of most of the western press? Hint: They also are the major owners of book publishing (think school texts), movie studio's, television networks and I'll throw in the porn industry. You may have a point, except even these owners would be unable to censor if true, AT THIS TIME!

The sad thing is that this seems to be basically an election strategy...whoever can show that they can kill the most Palestinians gets elected. I say take the $15 million per day that we give Israel and use it here at home, or use it for real huamitarian needs. It would be karmic justice if we took that $15 million per day from Israel and used it to help build some semblance of normal life for the Palestinians.
Liz January 9, 2009 3:14 am (Pacific time)
Tim: You are so right to expose the mass murders currently being carried out by the Israelis and Americans, as our Congress and President have helped them by providing the weapons they are using to kill these innocent people, and preventing the UN from insisting on a cease-fire. I saw it reported in the foreign press that American soldiers are on the Rafah border in Egypt, to prevent Gazans from escaping the bloody assaults into Egypt. We have all become complicit in genocide.
stephen January 8, 2009 9:48 pm (Pacific time)
trying not to take sides myself Tim. But facts are facts. November 4 Israel broke the truce. During the obama craze? how convenient. I got beat to death writing about it on other posts, but now even CNN admits it. google it.
I just dont like the media bias and the children being killed. I dont like the blockades. I have learned enough to know, these people were living peacefully together until the zionists brought in a new agenda. with U.S. tax dollars.
This next stimulus will give them the last dollars they can get from the U.S., because there are no more dollars after this. America will be a 3rd world country, possibly under dictatorship, because of how we spent our money. For wars and world domination. Israel is out of money, so the only thing left is WW3.
Tim King: Thanks Stephen, but my understanding is that Israel broke the truce with a Gaza border incursion to kill a Hamas operative. I wrote an article about it that has gotten a lot of traction in the world, if you are interested, here is the link: Israel Drew First Blood Against Hamas
Anonymous January 8, 2009 7:59 pm (Pacific time)
The Hamas shelling, as I understand it, has been primarily at the illegal Israeli settlements that are on Palestinian land confiscated by the Israelis. Though they have agreed to stop the settlements they have not. There are more and more every year. Not that this condones the violence but during the same period the Palestinian deaths have been usually in the 10 to 1 range. Meanwhile another form of death vis a vis destroyed olive groves, stolen water resources, blockade of medical supplies, food, fuel and access to emergency medical care has continued to kill Palestinians also know as the Philistines in the Jewish-Christian "holy" book. With 50% unemployment the angry and humiliated populace will naturally fall victim to their own rage. It seems to me that American and Israeli resources would be put to far better good applied to solving ecconomic and infrastructure inequities and building one unified and equal society and state. South Africa, another apartheid state did do just this. I guess those Israelis wouldn't care too much for a Palestinian Prime Minister but the Palestinians would have superior numbers. That is what they are afraid of but I say tough luck, that is where 60 years of murder gets you.

To all: It was my good fortune to share three invigorating years in Chicago with a now-noted child psychologist --to the great glee of some of my colleagues, who insisted that was a very natural and fitting relationship. But I did learn much from mu unavoidable constant contact with her professional-client contacts, including the cogent truth shared widely within that profession: Those deprived of obvious understandings of reality, for any reason or situation, offer only objections and denials of that immutable fact, never reflecting acceptance of the fact or any explanation, and remain insistent on their own interpretations, without fail. There would seem to be some such situation impacting us here at S-N, for which we can only hope recurring reflection of repeated reversal may somehow substitute for professional treatment.
stephen January 8, 2009 6:36 pm (Pacific time)
use to be anon. keep up the support Tim.
Harumph January 8, 2009 6:30 pm (Pacific time)
Where were your stories about HAMAS killing women and children in Israel? Why can you not bring yourself to condemn HAMAS and Fatah for deliberately targeting ONLY women and children (civilians)?
[Return to Top]Tim King: Which country do you live in anyway? Are you another one of these Israeli shills who always posts on these stories? Regardless of what you say, we will not hear the truth of it I'm sure. Of course Hamas is guilty of those things, but can you even start to comprehend how the unfair policies of Israel have brought this all about? This story is about Israel's operation, those kids in Gaza had nothing to do with it.
