Guardrail Work to Close Lanes on I-5

Salem-News.com

(Salem) - One northbound lane and southbound lane of I-5 will be closed Sunday evening, January 8th, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, while an Oregon Department of Transportation maintenance crew works on a guard rail near the Marietta Street underpass and the Rail Road and Turner under crossings.

The crew will start by repairing the median guard rail at milepost 252 to the Marietta underpass. This work will take four and a half hours, and the north and southbound lanes will be closed during this time.

After that, they will move to milepost 252.5 on the northbound side for more guard rail repairs at the Rail Road and Turner under crossings on the right side shoulder. This will require a right lane closure for about four and a half hours.

The lanes that are closed will be coned off. Drivers should slow down and proceed with caution through the work zone.
