(PASADENA) - Nobody has said it in 95 years, Pac-12 champions for three years in a row, the Oregon Ducks are this year's Rose Bowl Champions!. The game against the Wisconsin Badgers was non-stop excellent action; several records were set, including the Rose Bowl record for combined points.

The Ducks finished with 45 points, to the Badgers' 38. That turned out to be a good situation for Oregon, who ran 621 yards, to Wisconsin’s 509.

No question that both teams performed well from beginning to end.

Once again, for the third season in a row, the final game was also the first game of a new year, the University of Oregon Ducks Website Go Ducks! wrote earlier.

Oregon AMS Vice President Bobby Corser lauded the near perfect weather which set the stage for today's game. It began under gorgeous blue Pasadena skies and 85 degrees, cooling for the game's second half.

There were several injuries and at least one player was removed by the field by stretcher.

The New York Times noted that Oregon rolled up 344 yards rushing. That was led by backs LaMichael James (159 yards) and De’Anthony Thomas (155).

Russel Wilson attempted to spike the ball in the final two seconds, yet it was ruled too late, as he failed to stop the clock, thus ending the game.
