Salem-Keizer Announces Seven New Prevention Intervention Resource Specialists

(SALEM) - The Salem-Keizer School District is pleased to announce the addition of seven Prevention Intervention Resource Specialists. These specialists work in each of the feeder school areas, providing direct support to students dealing with issues of drug and alcohol, youth gangs, and violence.

They lead the District’s diversion education program; conduct recovery support groups for students coming out of treatment programs; support the district’s drug, alcohol, and violence prevention programs in schools; and facilitate improved communication among students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
