(SAN DIEGO) - When I was in grade school 80 years ago, the power of the atom was not known or even suspected to be a possibility. The discussions about the heat of the Sun began with the possibility of huge forest fires, then burning coal deposits, then oil and natural gas when they were discovered.

When I was going to the University of Illinois for my Diesel training as a Navy recruit in 1943, we were required to take 4 hour shifts to patrol under the Chicago baseball stadium. We wondered why we were chosen to guard a private baseball stadium but were never told why. It wasn’t until after the war was over that I learned Dr. Oppenheimer and the other scientists constructed the first atomic pile of nuclear energy under the Chicago stadium. That was what we were guarding without any knowledge of its importance.

It was when I was in about the seventh grade that I remember being involved in the first discussions with other children my age about the possibility of the unusual amount of energy of atoms. So it was only after the power of the atom was established as powerful as it is that the theory of nuclear energy creating the heat of the Sun began. Solar flares and sunspots were believed to be the result of gasses seeping from the interior of the Sun where they explode when they reached the surface. I argued that it is impossible for highly explosive gasses to be in the interior of the 20 million degree temperature of the Sun without exploding. The professors and scientists I spoke to insisted that the gasses are confined in the interior of the Sun but cannot explode until they migrate to the surface and reach the availability of oxygen that was necessary for the gasses to explode.

This is why in the newspaper article I paid to publish in the Sun News on January 17, 1979, I stated: “Is the Sun really a “burning ball of fire”? Or is it a fantastic optical illusion that has fooled billions of people over the centuries??? Electricity generates much higher temperatures than fire. That is why electrical induction furnaces are used for extremely high temperature applications.” While the scientists finally decided that it must be an internal thermonuclear furnace that was generating the heat probably sometime in the 1940’s, it remains that billions of people were fooled that the heat of the Sun was due to something burning. Obviously, billions of people have been fooled.

Now, it is just as impossible for an internal thermonuclear furnace to be generating the heat without exploding as it is for highly explosive gasses. It is still absolutely impossible to have a 20 million degree internal thermonuclear temperature and a multimillion degree corona with a relatively cold 8,000 degree surface of the Sun between these two incredibly hot temperatures. In fact, it is impossible for anything internally to generate the multimillion degree corona and leave an 8,000 degree temperature on the surface – even an electrical induction furnace. Absolutely the only way the temperature of the Sun can be created within the laws of physics is by the external concept I have been advocating since 1978 and wrote in the Oct. 17, 1990 Daily Californian newspaper article- by the collision or opposition of magnetic field currents.

Only the outer magnetic field of the Sun can generate the multimillion degree of the corona and radiate or generate the 8,000 degree heat of the surface. As I stated in my copyrighted material, it is the collision or the convergence of opposing magnetic field currents that creates loops that the Earth can pass through with room to spare that generates the incredible heat of the corona via resistance. Heating via electrical resistance is very well known. Engineers have created a temperature hotter than 20 million degrees in the laboratory with electrical resistance. With this concept, the temperature of the interior of the Sun becomes irrelevant.

The theory that the Sun will run out of fuel some day is foolish. The magnetic field current that produces this energy comes from the total mass of individual atoms that comprise the mass of the Sun. As the Sun grows, there are more atoms to add to the total energy output. While the loops of magnetic field currents clash and release tremendous heat and brilliant light, it does not destroy any of the individual atoms that contribute to the magnetic field current loop. When these loops clash they result in electrical explosions in the magnetic field that radiates powerful surges of millions of volts electrical energy from the Sun.

The belief that these are coronal mass ejections that blast thousands of tons material from the surface of the Sun is wrong. If you watch the purported particles that should reflect sunlight for hundreds of millions of miles from the Sun, they vanish without a trace only a few million miles from the Sun.

It is very clearly evident that it is only a surge of high voltage current that causes the atoms of gasses already in the path of the energy to glow brightly until the abnormal energy charge is dissipated and then the gasses return to their normal state of invisible gasses.

If the size of the moons, planets and stars are considered, the larger the mass of similar composition, the stronger the magnetic field becomes. The Sun is over one million times the mass of the Earth. I started by applying the knowledge of the swirling magnetic field around the primary current flow to the high and low pressure areas on Earth and the swirling winds around them.

I was satisfied that my concept resulted in a more complete and accurate explanation of the weather patterns on Earth. Then I thought that the upward flow of the loop of the magnetic field of a hurricane and the clouds around it would resemble the photo of a sunspot I remembered seeing in an encyclopedia. So I thought that if the very weak magnetic field of the Earth can create such powerful winds, the much more powerful magnetic field of the Sun could create the very same magnetic field loops that I predicted on the Earth.

I have attached the illustration I included in my copyrighted text. Note that I stated “This shows the known, measured, currents around the Earth in different colors, plus an energy loop that has gone un-noticed, but the high and low pressure areas and circular wind around them DEMAND its presence.” The swirling magnetic field around an electrical wire is also un-noticed and at that time can only be detected by an ordinary compass. Now in an advisory by NASA issued on April 20, 2011 titled: “Cassini Sees Saturn Link with Enceladus” the scientists reported detecting the electric link between Enceladus and Saturn that is invisible to the naked eye but is detectable with the ultraviolet imaging spectrograph and the fields and particles instruments on NASA’s Cassini spacecraft.

The major stumbling block to the advancement of science is that it was not until the Aug. 12, 2010 History program that the scientists publicly stated: “Electricity and magnetism are one and the same thing. All solar activity is basically magnetic activity.” Until then from the time I copyrighted my concept in 1978 all of the “experts” I have spoken to insisted that “comparing planetary magnetic fields to electricity is like comparing apples to oranges. The two are completely different.” Now after the scientists also stated: “In fact our planet is surrounded by electric current from the surface to the edge of space”, in the Nov. 20, 2013 Nova broadcast, “At the Edge of Space”, it should prompt the meteorologists to consider my concept.

Also, I received a link from a member of the Planck Foundation on Dec. 30, 2011 regarding: “Magnetic Portals Connect Earth to the Sun”. Physicist David Sheck of the Goddard Space Flight Center said: “It’s called a flux transfer event. Ten years ago I was pretty sure they didn’t exist, but now the evidence is incontrovertible. There are many unanswered questions: Why do the portals form every 8 minutes? How do magnetic fields inside the cylinder twist and coil? We’re doing some heavy thinking about this in the workshop.”

Note in my illustration I have the Inter-planetary energy (called solar wind) with the circular wind around it in 1978. I show this out of position in the interest of clarity because of the multiple circles in the vicinity of the equator. The swirling and twisting is a natural occurrence with a flow of magnetic field current. Why Dr. Sheck finds it necessary to “Do some heavy thinking about this” is encouraging.

Unfortunately, the science community considers the flow of magnetic field current from the Sun as a flow of ionized particles instead. This is why they do not understand why it twists and coils. It is impossible to explain why a flow of particles would twist and coil in open space while it is a known and proven characteristic with a flow of magnetic field currents.

In a Feb. 28, 2001 NASA program titled: “Space Science Update: Solar Max”, the program contained information gathered by the SOHO, IMAGE and POLAR satellites. These satellites have detected details of phenomena exactly what I have written about and illustrated in 1978. Prof. Douglas Gough, U. of Cambridge, United Kingdom, said: “As a result of this motion comes large scale interesting and coherent things that we don’t fully understand. It is similar to what we see on Earth. Very fascinating. We are just beginning to understand how the Earth’s atmosphere operates. We’re being able to understand meteorology as a result of detailed observations from space. Now we’re going to understand the motions of the Sun. It could be a phenomenon similar to what’s happening on Earth and will, I believe, herald a new era of solar meteorology.”

I originally began my concept by noticing the swirling wind and the variable speed around the high and low pressure areas on Earth then realized that the same conditions apply to sunspots and solar flares. I am surprised that the importance of the magnetic loops were validated first on the Sun, thanks to the SOHO, IMAGE, TRACE and POLAR satellites, before the importance of the magnetic field currents on the Earth are recognized. I do not understand why the professional meteorologists do not question the violation of the laws of physics when they explain that the highly variable circular winds around the high and low pressure areas as well as the jet stream are due to the Earth’s rotation.
