(Salem) - The newest member of the Salem-News.com sales team adds a lifetime of computer experience to her lists of talents and skills. As the daughter of one of IBM`s earliest employees who spent 35 years in the middle of the computer revolution, Britney Wharton is anything but new to the electronic media field. Salem-News.com`s General Manager Bonnie King says Britney brings knowledge, integrity and a cutting-edge skill in computer animation and graphic design, making the group even more complete. `Britney caught our ad for a sales associate on Salem-News.com just after moving here from Seattle. She has a great vision, and wants to help Salem area businesses grow through the art of strategic advertising. Our philosophies blend well, we believe in mixed-media programs, and she has a wealth of knowledge in that area. Britney also fills the void we were experiencing; we were also looking for another graphic artist to join our team. She fills both roles perfectly." In the coming days, information about the upcoming new Salem-News.com Web site will be released. Salem-News.com recently partnered with Salem business SSI, the creator of www.clicksus.com for a total rebuild of the existing Web site. The advertising programs that Britney will bring to clients will be placed on the new site, something that Salem-News.com`s Executive Editor Tim King, says matches everything the original vision entailed. `We are thrilled to be on the verge of releasing something that people in Salem and the Mid-Willamette Valley can enjoy and really put to use in their daily life. Adding Britney to our team brings such a perfect mix of skills. She is everything we were looking for. And I`ll say this much about the new site, the stories are interactive, searches are simple yet complete, and site options are many, but easy to follow. Putting it up to replace this site is the realization of a dream in a big way. It really looks good." In keeping with the positive report from management, Britney Wharton says her new role at Salem-News.com is a perfect realization of what she hoped to find after relocating to Oregon`s capitol city, `I am just so thrilled. Since moving down from Washington, I have been looking for a way to get to know Salem and especially the downtown area. Representing Salem-News.com and having an opportunity to be part of such a progressive electronic media organization is really exciting. I`m glad to have the ability to sell advertising, hone my marketing skills, and also serve as graphic designer and animator. It`s going to be a great fit for me." Britney will also serve as an advertising agent for KWVT Channel-52; Salem`s new broadcast UHF TV station. Look forward to meeting our new representative, Britney Wharton. Like the rest of us at Salem-News.com, she brings an in-depth level of knowledge gained from years of practical experience working at a high level in her professional pursuits. She has sales background in several levels and capacities, but was quick to state during her initial interview process that she only would be willing to market a product that she personally believed was a good investment for her clients. We told her that would work just fine with us. Articles for February 23, 2006 | Articles for February 24, 2006 | Articles for February 25, 2006 | googlec507860f6901db00.html | |
