(BROOKS, Ore.) - Marion County Sheriff's Deputies say two people were injured when a man drove his 1998 Dodge Caravan into the family residence, located at 8255 65th Ave NE in Brooks, Oregon.

Sgt. Shane Burnham with the Marion County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened around 7:00 PM.

He says responding Deputies found 70-year old Robert Appledoorn had driven his mini-van into an interior wall of his residence as he was maneuvering in his garage.

His wife, 69-year old Marianne Appledoorn, was struck by the vehicle and debris.

Burnham says both were transported by ambulance to the Salem Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
