(EAGLE CREEK, Ore.) - Police say two drivers received non-life threatening injuries Wednesday morning at the intersection of Highway 224 and Heiple Road when two vehicles struck nearly head-on. Both cars involved were completely destroyed by the impact. Senior Trooper Duane Larson says the crash happened today at approximately 11:40 AM. A 1993 Pontiac Grand Am two-door driven by 49-year old Maureen Carol Treadway of Estacada, was westbound on Highway 224 when it pulled into the center left turn lane at the Heiple Road intersection. "The car attempted to turn left and did so in front of an eastbound 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by 35-year old David Dale Webster Jr. of Portland." Larson says that is when both cars collided nearly head-on. Treadway was taken by LifeFlight to OHSU. Webster was taken by ground ambulance to OHSU. Both have non-life threatening injuries, Larson said. Oregon State Police troopers from the Government Camp and Portland offices are completing the investigation. Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Boring Fire Department, and ODOT assisted at the scene.
