Gresham Man Indicted for Murder in Wife's Death

Police are asking for anybody who knows the Roberts' personally, or business associates of John Roberts, to contact police with information that might assist detectives in further investigation.

John L. Roberts has been charged with one count of Murder in Multnomah County, Oregon regarding the death of his wife.

(GRESAM, Ore.) - A Multnomah County Grand Jury that convened on Friday, February 8th indicted a Gresham man, 51-year old John L Roberts, on one count of Murder.

Sgt. Claudio Grandjean with the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office says Roberts was arrested on February 2nd, after he called to report that he had shot his wife at the NE Gresham home they shared. Virginia Roberts was discovered deceased by responding officers.

Police are asking for anybody who knows the Roberts' personally, or business associates of John Roberts, to contact police with information that might assist detectives in further investigation.

John Roberts' arraignment is set for Tuesday, February 12th at the Multnomah County Courthouse. A time has not yet been set.
