Oregon Gymnastics Coach Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

(ALOHA, Ore.) - Jeremy Brandon Waldridge was arrested Wednesday when detectives from INTERCEPT (Interagency Child Exploitation Prevention Team) served a search warrant at his residence in the community of Aloha.
Police say Mr. Waldridge has been the focus of a child pornography investigation led by INTERCEPT, since they received information that he was downloading explicit child pornography from the Internet.
During the investigation detectives became exceedingly concerned when they learned that Mr. Waldridge runs a private company geared for young children and teens called "Top Notch Trampoline, Tumbling, and Cheerleading". Detectives learned that Mr. Waldridge and members of his staff have visited local grade schools in the Hillsboro School District and put on demonstrations for the children.
At this time, detectives have no evidence that Mr. Waldridge has done anything criminal or inappropriate with any of his students or children he has had contact with. However, it is a typical pattern for those exploiting children to put themselves in a position where they have frequent contact with children, so this must be considered.
Because of the graphic nature of the child pornography found during this investigation, detectives want the parents of Mr. Waldridge’s students to be aware of his behavior and to call if they have any concerns about his contact with any of their children.

I never liked this guy. I took 2 lessons with him and quit.. he was not okay with that. he took me in a room and overed to give me gifts if i would keep taking lessons with him... i quit NO DUR HE"S CREEPYYYYY i mean really look at his picture. he would always handle you in the exact WRONG areas... and mostly taught girls.. does that tell you something?

You would never think this is true, he has been my coach for 2 years and he always told my team if their shirt came up or something to tuck it in, or roll our shorts down. Once i had a "i love boobies" bracelet, and he made me flip it around. Great coach!

Jeremy was a great coach! he pressured me to do things that he knew i could do, and now thanks to him, i have tumbling.

Jeremy was a fantastic coach, regardless of anything he did in his personal time. I trusted, respected, and looked up to him for the 6 years I tumbled with him. He never took advantage of our trust. Jeremy, my thoughts are with you as you and your family get through this.

this sucks for my young daughter whom attended class twice a week. She looked up to him and so did I. The children who dedecated time and effort are the ones who suffer the most. Best wishes to his family..

Jeremy's a good guy, and even if this is true, it doesn't mean he ever did anything to his athletes. He was always a great and awesome coach to me and never made me feel uncomfortable. Regardless if this is true or not, I will still support him and care for him. No one's perfect, he's no exception, and that's no reason to hate him

I believe this is true. He always gave me the yucky vibe too. He is also a youth leader for kids in a church. I have known him about 10+ years with my daughter having him for a coach for a variety of gymnastic type sports. I find him to be like a street thug. Scaring the children to do what he wants. My daughter has permanent life long injury's from his poor tech-nicks and sloppy spotting. If he is mad at your child he turns into a daemon cornering them in shame. Making them feel worthless. I have not noticed him manhandling kids in a sexual way. I don't like the guy though. He does pick favorites. I found it hard to believe he was straight even after he married a girl. I always thought he was gay. Hope his son was never verbally abused because I certainly know he is capable of that kind of abuse.

My child is completly heart broken over this. It is most difficult for our child right now. Our child wants to quit the sport completely. Jeremy was looked up to as a mentor and a positive influence in our childs life. This is most devastating to our child and to a sport our child loved so much. I wish I could make the painful hurt go away from this discovery. I hope Jeremy gets the help he needs. I am so sorry for all the kids, the parents as well as his family.

We've known him for nearly 10 years and sadly this does not surprise me. My husband and I have always had an uneasy feeling around him. I am heartbroken for his wife and son.
