(LONDON) - I believe there should be a new police investigation into the kung fu martial artist Bruce Lee’s mysterious and inexplicable sudden death at the young age of only thirty two. Echoing an immortal line from Bruce Lee’s film Fist of Fury, "How could a Fit Man Die?"

Why would the Fittest Man in the World, take to carrying a gun about with him in his last few months on Earth?

Bruce Lee was found dead in the flat of actress Betty Ting Pei’s flat on July 20th 1973 in Hong Kong, and though the official cause of his sudden demise was registered as death by misadventure, Black Belt magazine in 1985 carried the speculation that the death of Bruce Lee in 1973 may have been caused by “a delayed reaction to a Dim Mak death strike he received several weeks prior to his collapse.

There were also strong allegations that the Chinese Triad gang were behind the legendary martial artist’s death, and that also other Chinese film moguls wanted Bruce dispensed of because they feared losing their business to the superstar’s rival film company Concord Productions.

Intense speculation centered on the suspicion that Lee was administered a poison which did not show up in his autopsy, these type of covert pisons are believed to exist in Asia and the Far East.

Suspicions to the present day remain strong that Bruce Lee’s inexplicable death involved foul play and that his spirit will never rest in peace, until the perpetrators of his death are brought to justice.

For many years I also thought Bruce Lee was murdered, but because of the lack of evidence no one was prosecuted n arrested If aninvestigation does occur detectives should interrogate Raymond Chow n Betty Ting Pei since they were the last 2 people to see himalive.

Rumors are for the weak and unchallenged. Provide evidence or just don't demonstrate your weakness. Roger in terms of Lee being some type of God, he would bow quickly with someone experienced in the Edge, and/or the 45. Lee's skills are far more myth than his actual abilities. Hollywood crafted a PR stunt with him. I have seen real time analysis of his movements, he was really not all that fast.

Some things never die, including my admiration for a man who took something I've always loved, martial arts, into the mainstream instead of cloaked and obscure in foolishness...It might have been esoteric at one time, but Bruce was one of the reasons I took Shotokan karate. I lucked out, Sensei Oshima brought the torch of Shotokan from Japan to the LA area, I trained at his Long Beach dojo and learned two things: Physical discipline, learning to tamp down my testosterone after serving a mid-60s hitch in the USMC...And the mental, Zen aspect, the ability to focus that has also served me well in all aspects of my life.
Like Bodhidharma, who took Buddhism from northern India into China which then migrated in all directions, Bruce spread the mustard seed. Violence or force is only to be used as a last resort, but then there are no rules, just victory.
The rumor I heard for years was that he began eating hashish from Afghanistan, the strong PRIMO stuff that had opium in it. This was supposed to "UP" his pain threshold....he was also in a lot of pain from his training regime and street fights. He didn't have to go looking, every punk in Hong Kong wanted to make their "bones" by defeating him like a gunslinger in the Wild West.
The Afghan hashish is rolled by hand, is oil-based, and it can have bacteria embedded in i from the growers hands.
So the rumor goes that by eating it he ingested bacteria/viruses that went to his heart, giving him a cardiac infection that went undiagnosed because he seldom complained, refused to keep training.
Because he became almost a walking God, a mythological creature while still above ground, I doubt that the gossip will ever stop.
To me, he was inspirational, a martial arts rebel who delved deeply into the spiritual aspects.
Flawed or not, I venerate him as I still do Sensei Oshima.
How he died is actually a minor matter to me---That he lived, that he gave back via teaching/educating, is what's most important.
