(CAIRO, Egypt AL JAZEERA) - Al Jazeera's Sohail Rahman reports and discusses Egypt's decision to block the Viva Palestina Convoy from entering Egypt at Nuweiba.

The video includes commentary from Institute of Palestinian Studies' Mouin Rabbanu and a live phone interview with George Galloway at the Jordan/Syria Jaber border crossing.

We have been telling you about the Viva Palestina aid convoy to Gaza which left London on December 6th, and has been blocked from entering Egypt; held at the Jordanian port of Aqaba.

The group wants to see humanitarian aid reach the beleageured people of Gaza, who have been cut off from aid by Israel since the attack there that killed over 1,400 people, mostly civilians, in retaliation for Hamas rocket attacks. The attacks and Israel's reprisal left a total of 14 Israelis dead, four from the IDF's own friendly fire.

The Convoy, which is made up of more than 200 vehicles, planned to reach Rafah on December 27th, but has now re-routed back to the Syrian port of Lattakia and will sail to Egypt's Mediterranean port of El-Arish.
