(SALEM, Ore.) - An armed robbery at a Salem tavern parking lot has local detectives asking questions. They say Marion County Sheriff's deputies were called out last night around 11:45 PM to the Silver Inn Tavern, on Silverton Road. Lt. Sheila Lorance with the Marion County Sheriff's Office says the victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his mid 30's. He stood about five foot eight and had a slim build, the victim said. The man was clean shaven, wearing a white and black zip up hooded jacket, decorated with red and black skulls. Lorance says the suspect approached the victim in the parking lot armed with a black handgun, and took personal property and cash. "The suspect then fled in an unknown direction," Lorance said. Anyone with information regarding the robbery or the suspect in this case can contact Deputy Dale Huitt at (503) 576-7252.
