McMinnville Man Arrested For Raping 14-Year Old Girl

(MCMINNVILLE, Ore.) - McMinnville Police arrested 35-year old Jack Bennie Moore Monday, on charges that involve the sexual assault of a 14-year old female.

Detective Sgt. Rhonda Sandoval with McMinnville Police, says the attack took place during the evening of Saturday, December 19 in the Kiwanis Marine Park in McMinnville, located at 1400 SE Brooks Street.

"Moore had apparently broken into a storage room in the park and had been illegally living in the storage room," Sandoval said.

"Moore allegedly provided the minor female with alcohol and then sexually assaulted her when she attempted to leave the park. Detectives were able to locate Moore at the Union Gospel Mission in Salem, and took him into custody with the assistance of the Salem Police Department."

Moore was transported to the Yamhill County Jail and lodged on charges of first-degree Rape, Burglary, Theft of Services, and Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor.
