(SALEM) - Just before 1:00 AM Wednesday, the Marion County Sheriff's Office responded to a one-vehicle crash in the 400 block of Hylo Road S.E. Salem. Upon arriving, deputies observed that a white 1992 Chevrolet four-door vehicle had left the roadway and impacted a tree. Three occupants were involved, the 17-year old driver, Joseph Mode of Salem was transported to OHSU with serious injuries, 15-year old Brandon Rockwell, also from Salem, was pronounced deceased at the scene and the remaining passenger 18-year-old Kyle LaValley of Washington, was transported to Salem Hospital with unknown injuries. Investigators advised that at this time they do not feel whether was a factor in this crash, but are investigating the possibility of high speeds and alcohol involvement. No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is on going. As of 1:39 PM Thursday, Kyle was upgraded to Fair Condition. Passenger Kyle LaValley was first reported to be 14 years of age, it is now confirmed that Kyle is 18 and family members of all involved have been contacted. Wow, I knew the Driver and I knew Brandon. I cant believe this Happened. Wow. I wonder how the driver must feel, That brandons DEATH is on his head and that hes responsible. How sad. I cant believe this. wow thats all i have to say its soo sad. i miss him
