Car Jacking Suspects At Large

Both suspects have ties to Marion County, and both are considered to be armed and dangerous.

(ALBANY) - The Albany Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating two suspects wanted in connection with an armed car jacking that took place at the Mervyn's Department store located at 410 SE Airport Road on Friday, December 15th, and began a police chase that took them into South Salem, where they lost the one suspect on foot.

The first suspect is 20-year old Marco Antonio Villarreal. Marco Antonio Villarreal is described as a Hispanic male, 5'7", 130 pounds with brown eyes, black hair and possibly a goatee.

The second suspect is 31-year old Jason Robert Desantis. Jason Robert Desantis is described as a white male, 6'2", 210 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. His head may be shaved and he may have a goatee and mustache.

Both Jason Desantis and Marco Villarreal have ties to Marion County. Both suspects are considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call the Albany Police Department at 541-917-7680. During the December 15th car jacking incident the victim reported that a male suspect grabbed her from behind after she opened the rear driver side door on her 2004 Chevy Avalanche pickup truck and set her purse and keys on the seat. The suspect put a handgun to the victim's head and ordered her to get into her vehicle as he tried to push her inside. The victim screamed and was able to break free from the suspect and ran back to the store.

The suspect fled the area in the victim's vehicle north onto I-5. Several Albany Patrol Officers began checking northbound I-5 when the suspect was located in the Jefferson area by members of the Oregon State Police. A pursuit was initiated which led back to I-5 and north towards Salem. Two Albany Patrol Officers assisted in the pursuit until it entered South Salem.

Members of the Oregon State Police, Salem Police Department and Marion County Sheriff's Department pursued the suspect through South Salem. The pursuit ended in Clark Creek Park in South Salem when the suspect got the vehicle stuck and fled on foot. Salem area law enforcement searched for the suspect until approximately 4:00 PM but did not find the suspect.

Does anyone know if this is the Jayson that was possibly doing some forest fire fighting volunteering during his incarceration in Oregon at one time? I communicated with someone by mail while they were incarcerated by the same name many years ago. I came across some old letters while searching boxes and thought I would google him just to see how he was doing since we lost touch all those years ago. Our communication was strictly platonic and I never met him in person, he seemed like a very nice guy who had just made some wrong choices. He often wrote about being eager to do his time and return to the family he loved so much. If this does appear to be the same person, please reply and may God bless the family and friends he left behind.

So.... i remember Jay. He was in Snake River Corrections. I remember when my husband told me Jay was getting married or he got married (cant remember which it was since it was in early-mid 2000's! My Husband was also at SRCI with Jay. anyhow i know he and his wife got married at SRCI thats all i rememeber, oh duh; and her name was Danyel! My husband and Jay were good friends in prison. My husband did not know Jay before prison and Jay was released several years before my husband was. Unfortunately Jay passed before my husband was released. I noticed there is a women that created posts saying she is Jay's "Widow" so i did some research and found that Jay was only married once and it was to a woman named Danyel M De Santis. There are no other marriages associated to Jay. So the anonymous widow is a fake for sure. Just dont have any idea about the "son". is there a son or not? did Jay know about the son? hmmm well i can say this much, im sure if there is a son, Jay's family would want to know him! why deny Jay's family the knowledge of a part of Jay. if this women has a heart, contact the family if u havn't already. Jay's son and Jay's Family deserve to have the opportunity to love each other! just saying!!

Love him or hate him...at the end of the day you are still talking about him. I, for one, along with his wife, Dany and his great friend Jeannine, loved him...and was so sad when he died...and I'm utterly disgusted that some random girl would claim to be his widow...Its obvious how desperately you are trying to hold on to something that was never yours in the first place and raise your self esteem so you don't see the whore in the mirror that got used and abused. I really do feel sorry for you. But don't you dare try to color yourself into some family portrait with Jayson and negate everything he had in his life with Danyel and his family and his friends. I don't know what Jason was like when he was clean but all I can say is that I know what he was up to and it is the main reason why he succumbed to this fate. I was into the same stuff hanging out with the same crowds. That stuff changes you, makes you act like the exact opposite of who you really are, as if you are Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It brings out the worst in people, just like it did with me. I just wanted to say that I am sorry to all those who knew him personally, this should never happen to anyone. Let his ghosts sleep in the past and let him rest in peace, for everyone's sake.

As someone who knew Jayson very well and only met Dany after his passing I must say Dany you are my heroe. You showed Jayson the meaning of unconditional love and those who truly knew him and who he loved know that you were his life. Nothing or noone will ever change that. To "Widow DeSantis" if you really have Jayson's child you should have a paternity test and get social security benefits your child deserves. Just sayin

Widow DeSantis is not Jay's widow. Jay was married to a beautiful woman who supported him through all his troubles, unknowing, of all his female indiscretions. Widow DeSantis is claiming an illegitamate child on that of a dead man for pity. You need to seek help and leave the true widow alone. For pete's sake it has been 4 years! i was recently shown this article by a friend, and although i only met jason on one occassion, i am sure this is my husbands friend of many many yrs. this would explain not hearing anything of him for so very long. my husband went down in 03. but i know they had been very close at least back to 96 when i met him just the once. i'm sorry for your loss of a man you loved so much, and your sons loss of growing up with his father.i wasn't aware that you guys had a son, congats. i would like to tell my husband of your son and jasons death but need to be ABSOLUTELY sure i have the right jason before i upset my husband with this news. as a prisonwife i'm sure you understand that. i'm hoping we can somehow verify it without putting a bunch of personal stuff out for everyone to see.

Jason was a wonderful person when we was clean. It sounds like he had a terrible drug problem. idk. He always encouraged me and he helped me thru an extremely difficult time in my life. I just wish I could have done the same for him.

Thank you so much for the kind words. Our son looks more and more like his daddy and they both inspire me to keep going. That was not who he was, not at all...he just got caught up in the wrong crowd...and to say that he was the main iniatior was a lie, there were others involved that will see their karma sooner or later.

The people with the most negative to say try going into jail, try getting out and feeling like you lost everything, and finding no help from the system after you get out. Sometimes I'm still upset because he forgot about us and decided to be selfish and take his own life. Now i'm without a husband, my son is without a dad...You can only say what you did because you have never been in this situation and I hope you don't...Your too quick to judge unless it happens to you!
