(SALEM) - Friday, December 15 CLOSURES & DELAYS: Salem-Keizer: 11 schools closed- Englewood, Eyre, Forest Ridge, Grant, Judson, Lee, Miller, Rosedale, Sumpter, Wright and Centennial-Wheatland, plus Student Services Center. Central School District: Independence Elementary closed, all others open. Dallas: LaCreole and Bridgeport/Pedee are closed. All other schools open. Silver Falls: Evergreen, Monitor, Pratum and Silver Crest schools are closed. No bus service Silver Crest area and on Briar Knob Loop and Crooked Finger. All other schools open. Western Mennonite: Closed. Molalla River: Closed. Holiday gathering cancelled. Mt. Angel: Closed. Salem Catholic Schools: St. Vincent Catholic School is closed. Yamhill-Carlton: All schools closed. No preschool due to wind damage and rural roads. North Santiam (Stayton): Stayton Elementary, Stayton Middle, Stayton High, Sublimity Elementary, Sublimity Middle and Mari-Linn schools are closed. Santiam Canyon: Closed Willamina: Buses on snow routes AM/PM Corvallis: Corvallis 509J - Closed. Portland Community College: The Rock Creek campus will be closed Friday night due to a power outage. SEND US YOUR UPDATES: newsroom@salem-news.com Thursday, December 14 CLOSURES & DELAYS: Marion, Polk & Yamhill Co. Schools: Mt. Angel: MS/HS Winter Program Canceled, Rescheduled for Jan. 4th. McMinnville: Thursday, December 14th, all afterschool and evening activities cancelled. Yamhill-Carlton: All activities canceled after 6:00 PM including CES Winter Program & YCHS Football Banquet. Newberg: All after school and evening activities are canceled. Silver Falls: All evening activities canceled. Practice for varsity teams to finish no later than 6:00 PM. North OR Coast Schools: Nestucca Valley: Afternoon & evening activities cancelled. Tillamook #9: Tillamook Junior High and East Elementary Concert is postponed until Tuesday, December 19, 7:00 PM. Clackamas Co. Schools: Colton: Colton's wrestling team will not be traveling to Scio for the scheduled meet. Colton High School's dance tonight scheduled from 8:00 to 11:00 has been cancelled due to possible power outages and downed trees. Oregon City: All evening activities cancelled due to forecast of high winds and possible power outages. North Clackamas: Evening activities canceled. Clark Co. Schools: Hockinson: Hockinson Primary School - Kindergarten Concert has been canceled. Hockinson High School - Music Concert is still scheduled to begin at 8:00 PM in the high school auditorium. LaCenter: All after school and evening activities for Thursday canceled due to wind warnings Evergreen: Cascade Middle School Choir trip to Oregon Zoo cancelled due to weather. Battle Ground: All evening activities for December 14th are canceled due to high winds. Lower Columbia Schools: Naselle-Grays River Valley: Naselle will begin 2 hours late on Friday, December 15. Washington Co. Schools: Gaston: All evening activities cancelled, except School Board Meeting. Sherwood: Due to anticipated high winds and extreme weather conditions, all after school and evening activities are cancelled. The Middle School Concert will be rescheduled. Recreational SBO basketball practices are cancelled as well. Private Schools - Portland area: Arbor School of Arts & Sciences: Evening program postponed to Friday 11:30am. Eastside Christian: Christmas Program for tonight has been cancelled! Public Colleges & Universities: Clatsop Community College: College closed at 3:30. Cities: City of Albany: In anticipation of storm-related flooding in the Albany area, sand and sandbags are available free to the public at the City of Albany Public Works Operations offices, 310 Waverly Dr. NE. For more information, contact Public Works at (541) 917-7600. Vancouver Solid Waste Services: Due to forecasted winds, Clark County residents are asked to delay setting out scheduled garbage/recycling until 6:30 AM Friday. Organizations: Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation Dist.: All facilities closing at 9:00 PM. Utilities: Cowlitz County PUD: As of 3:50 PM - Cowlitz PUD crews are responding to power outages in Kelso and Kalama. Currently 1,200 customers are without electricity. Editor: Sorry we didn't notice this earlier; Salem/Keizer is undecided and report via their Website that information will be available after 5:15 AM They will have it up before we do, so check their site directly.
