Oregon Governor Endorses Hillary Clinton for President

The Clinton Campaign today announced the endorsement of Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski.

Oregon's Governor throws his support behind the Clinton Campaign

(SALEM, Ore.) - "At a critical time in our history, Hillary Clinton has the strength and experience to restore hope and opportunity to working Americans and deliver the change America needs," Kulongoski said. "No one is better equipped to repair the damage of the last seven years and repair our standing in the world."

Kulongoski was elected Governor in 2002 and reelected again in 2006, after spending nearly 35 years in public service. As Governor, Kulongoski has focused on education and economic growth, expanding opportunities for working class residents to attend college and obtain the necessary workforce skills, thus creating tens of thousands of new jobs.

He continues to push for more investment in education as well as quality, affordable health care, especially for children, and to make Oregon the leader in promoting a healthy economy fueled by green, alternative energy sources. A Marine Corps veteran, no Governor has spent more time addressing the needs of enlisted and National Guard soldiers and veterans.

Gov. Kulongoski began his career as a labor lawyer, helping author the landmark Oregon Public Employee Collective Bargaining Act. Since then, he has served in leading roles across all three branches of state government, including: State Representative, State Senator, Insurance Commissioner, Attorney General and Associate Justice on the Oregon Supreme Court.

"Ted has devoted his life to serving the people of Oregon with integrity and distinction," Clinton said. "I'm honored to have the support of such a fantastic champion for working people, and I'm delighted that he will lead our efforts in Oregon."

Neil Goldschmidt endorsed Kulongoski and then Kulongoski endorsed Goldschmidt (aka violent child rapist) to be on the state school board, i.e. , control it. People these are the kind of people Henry wants in charged of Oregon public education? Henry will not respond cogently, he simply cannot! That's his pattern, stay away from issues that he cannot defend, but just do the "drive-by" cheap shots that the left is known for. That is why they will all fade away before too long...

Jefferson December 18, 2007 12:47 pm (Pacific time)

Henry you are the illusionist for the uninformed out there, but your "smoke and mirror" routine is pretty easy to spot by those with three digits in their IQ's, the others are simply your "useful idiots" and I feel sorry for those people. They are constantly in my prayers...may they learn to go towards the light. People please notice how Neal will not respond to my comments re: pulling our financial largess from Israel...is there a hidden agenda? Go to http://www.ussliberty.com and learn about a war crime that chances are you never heard about. Then ask yourself, why has not Hollywood made a movie about it? That's a question Henry will also avoid, for obvious reasons!

Henry Ruark December 17, 2007 11:17 am (Pacific time)

Neocon neat trick is always to avoid straight, honest answer...like WHO trained YOU, WHY were you there, WHAT was pay, and WHERE did you participate ? Straight ID can answer allathat; but we know you now prevented by past, so must now continue to dodge, weave, dissemble and otherwise expose self-situation that much more clearly.

Jefferson December 17, 2007 6:38 pm (Pacific time)

Neal I was just talking about waterboarding which is simply not torture in the opinion of those who understand war, it is a pragmatic way of saving lives which it has been proven to do. How about we cancel all funding to Israel because of not just the lethal torture they incorporate, but also allegations of apartheid behaviors. Would this be, ah too anti-Semetic to a country who killed Americans to cover up their war crimes in 1967? NO! Hey what branch of the service was that loser Pollard in Neal?

Henry Ruark December 17, 2007 2:46 pm (Pacific time)

Neal: Nicely stated, except that for such as nonentity any means IS always justified to reach the ends they seek. Nazis and fascists generally agree on that, as history has surely taught us. When we allow Founding Fathers' principles for our democracy to be so demeaned and despotically, dementedly applied for empire and war-building, we lower ourselves AND our democracy still further down-scale... which is part of objective of those using such tactics, including invasion and perversions in this channel, with ID or any standard proven characteristics for credibilities.

Neal Feldman December 17, 2007 2:15 pm (Pacific time)

Jefferson - it does not have to be a blowtorch to the genitals to be torture. and lack of physical damage changes nothing as the activity and results are primarily psychological... and severe psych damage has been proven. The reason not to use torture has nothing to do with giving up effective means. The fact is torture is inefficient as under torture the recipient will just make up stuff to tell their torturers what they think they want to hear to get the torture to cease. Highly unreliable. But the biggest reason against it is so we are not grandiose hypocrites when we fault our enemies or opponents for using torture. If we use it we lose any right to fault anyone else for using it. Bottom line is we are better than that and the end does not justify any means. What is the question... :What does it benefit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul?" Ah well...

Jefferson December 16, 2007 10:37 am (Pacific time)

Henry I simply stated that from past training I was water-boarded (and had been exposed to far worse methods), and in my opinion I do not consider it torture. It has become a political definition for the far left (aka bs election pr) and for the gullible I'm afraid. Thus far, none of our deadly enemies, who rejoice in killing Americans (along with women and children) ever lasted much over 30 seconds. They suffered no physical injuries nor evident mental damage) which is far preferable to having your head removed real slowly. So Henry did you ask for JFK, LBJ, Carter and Clinton to disavow this method of securing information that has been proven to save American lives? Why not demand that we cut off funding to those countries who receive U.S. treasury and military equipment that engage in some real intense physical (even lethal) torture? We know why you do not Henry, don't we people? Vic the governor can not stop the feds from sending the guard...congress can, but we know their record don't we.

DD877 December 15, 2007 9:42 am (Pacific time)

Well let us see Carter makes ex Governor and Self professed Rapist Transportation Secretary. So the new Clinton Campaign is going to help old Ted the Cover up?? I think not. They will probably Bury him and his endorsement.

Henry Ruark December 15, 2007 8:02 am (Pacific time)

Neocon nonentity: They probably do share values...and I'll guarantee it bans torture, via waterboarding or whatever ! Values proven by what you DO, and I miss any answers from you on THAT point, as well as ID for any shred-left of credibilities. After all, if you worked once for waterboarding agency, why in Heaven's Name would we ever trust your values again ?

Vic December 15, 2007 7:43 am (Pacific time)

Im surprised that Kulongoski didnt endorse Bush...he is enamored with the man. He could have refused to send Oregon guard troops to what became obviously a war fueled by lies and deception, but he continues to cheerlead for Bush and the war. I wasnt going to vote for Hillary anyways, but with Ted's endorsement, it will never happen.

Neal Feldman December 14, 2007 11:08 am (Pacific time)

Nothing says loser more than spelling it 'looser' (would it help if they were 'tighter'? Ah well...

Jefferson December 14, 2007 9:30 am (Pacific time)

No doubt the Gov and Hillary share the same value system.

Dave December 14, 2007 7:29 am (Pacific time)

I wonder how much money he received to sell out his soul?

Julie December 13, 2007 11:22 pm (Pacific time)

What's he got against Obama anyhow? Politics at their best I guess. Obama said tonight he looks forward to Hillary being one of his...advisors...good plan!

Disappointed December 13, 2007 10:15 pm (Pacific time)

Gov. Kulongoski, Can't believe you would ruin your career by sponsering a looser!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mira December 13, 2007 9:14 pm (Pacific time)

Go figure, one looser endorses another one!

Neal Feldman December 13, 2007 8:29 pm (Pacific time)

I'm not that big on any of the candidates but in a way would like to see Hillary win the White House if for no other reason than to watch Sean Hannity spontaneously combust. lol Ah well...

Leonardo December 13, 2007 6:01 pm (Pacific time)

I have a _real_ bad feeling about Hillary. Let me say, "I told you so," now and get it on the record.
