...and On Waiting a Response from The White House.

Mordechai Vanunu and Ken O'Keefe

(CLERMONT, Fla.) - In early December 2010, I received this email inquiry:

“Right after the first leaks, suddenly the Swedish authorities want to arrest Assange for investigation of an incident involving what they themselves call 'consensual sex.'...And won’t give any details. Then, when the recent leaks took place, suddenly there is an international warrant for him. Does that sound remotely like a frame? Doesn't this sound like what happened to the Dimona whistle-blower, set up by a female Mossad agent?”

I replied: "They did and a detailed account is available on the Daily Mail's Web site. I just wrote on mine:

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, champion for freedom of speech may be facing aninvestigation in the US as to whether he violated espionage laws by hiding out after being charged by the international public prosecution office with "sex by surprise" for violating an obscure Swedish law against having sex without a condom.

Assange’s surreal saga cannot obscure the thousands of United States diplomatic cables already released that have leveled insults against statesmen and politicians, but Turkey's Interior Minister Besir Atalay nailed it when he said, "It seems to us that the country which is not mentioned much, especially in the Middle East, or which this development seems to favor is Israel. This is how we see it in a way when we look in the context of who is benefitting and who is being harmed."

On 7 December I received this TWITTER regarding Assange: “There are echoes of Mordechai Vanunu's entrapment except this time it's the CIA instead of Mossad.”

Maybe time will tell if there is a CIA connection to Assange but we already know from Vanunu how he was trapped by the Mossad. On 30 September 1986, Vanunu flew from London to Rome with the agent he knew as Cindy and who he thought was a beautician on holiday. Legend has it that it was a ‘honey trap’ but the opportunity for sex already existed in London where they both had their own rooms.

During the March 2006 taping of “30 Minutes With Vanunu” I asked him, "What were you thinking when you took off with her?"

Vanunu looked me directly in the eyes and maintained eye contact as he immediately replied, "No, it wasn't like THAT. A tabloid paper published a story with some of the photos of the Dimona I had taken. They never contacted me for my side of the story but they published my photo with a bad report; lots of lies. I knew I was in danger and I wasn't sure if the Times would still print my story. I thought I would just leave London with her for a few days." [1]

When Vanunu arrived in Rome at what he thought was Cindy sister's home, he was clubbed, drugged, bound and transported back to Israel in either a small yacht or a cargo ship. Just prior to being driven to his closed door trial, Vanunu had been inspired to write his Rome flight number and the word 'HIJACKED" upon his palm and press it to the window of the van he was being transported in. His move was immortalized by a photographer and it so inflamed the Israeli government, that afterwords, when ever Vanunu was being transported to his closed door trial, the windows in the van were curtained or blacked out and he was made to wear a helmet on his head all in attempts to silence him. Senator Mitch McConnell called Julian Assange a "high-tech terrorist" on NBC's Meet the Press Sunday stating, "If it‘s found that Assange hasn’t violated the law, then the law should be changed."

Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. told us, "An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law.”

On 22 November 2010, I snail mailed the following: A copy of  BEYOND NUCLEAR: Mordechai Vanunu's FREEDOM of SPEECH Trial and My Life as a Muckraker: 2005-2010 along with the official letter to the Israeli Government from the International League for Human Rights [Open Letter: Please Grant Mordechai Vanunu Free Departure Out of Israel - Salem-News.com] that respectfully requested Israel release Mordechai Vanunu on legal grounds from 6 ½ years of 24/7 surveillance so that he may travel to Berlin and receive the 2010 Carl von Ossietzky Medal at the awards ceremony to:

Dear President Obama, Vice President Biden, Secretary of State Clinton,

As a child of the Cold War, I share the Dream of multitudes; who share the Dream Vanunu dreamt in 1985-of a Nuclear Free World.

Please help FREE VANUNU NOW so that he can personally receive the Carl Von Ossietzky Medal in Berlin on 12 December 2010.

On 29 November 2010, I visited the local ABC, CBS, NBC and NPR Orlando, Florida affiliates and left copies of my book, the letter from the International League for Human Rights and a cover letter asking them to report.

On 30 November I was relieved that Ken O’Keefe mentioned his vision -that I wrote to President Ahmadinejad- about here: Ken O'Keefe Press Confrence Gaza to the People and the Convoy.mp4

My Iranian media contact in Tehran emailed me that on 10.12.10 he will deliver my following letter to his contact who travels everywhere with President Ahmadinejad:

November 3, 2010

Dear President Ahmadinejad,

I am most grateful to present you with copies of all three of my books and I hope to attend Iran’s Press Exhibition in 2011. [Editor note: No US reporter attended the 2010 conference.] I recently returned from two weeks with Mavi Marmara survivor, Ken O'Keefe's speaking tour through America's northwest and to Victoria, Canada.

Everywhere Ken was received as a hero. Ken is also a visionary and a man on a mission for TJP=Truth+Justice=Peace.

Ken is inspiring many to help end the blockade of Gaza and the occupation of Palestine and very soon he will announce a new project that will invite the entire world to get on board and do this. My heart has been in Palestine ever since my first of seven trips beginning in June 2005 and I do believe "we have it in our power to begin the world again."-Tom Paine.

On 7 December 2010, I phoned the White House and Press Office for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. I obtained the email address for Media Affairs at the White House and wrote them, but I spoke directly with Nicole Thompson, Press Officer of the Day for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Ms. Thompson assured me that every correspondence is “read and reviewed, but she [Clinton] might not have time to respond directly.”

I reminded her that Israel’s statehood was contingent upon upholding the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and Article 13: 2 affirms that “Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.”

I requested a statement for my 5:PM EST deadline from this Administration regarding Vanunu’s Right to leave the State in light of serving 18 years in jail for telling the truth, 6 ½ years under 24/7 surveillance while meeting with hundreds [thousands?] of people who all know that the only way Vanunu can harm Israel is with bad publicity.

Ms. Thompson requested my email address and said she would try to have a statement for me by 5 PM EST today.

It is 5:54 PM and I am still waiting on a response from the White House, and I will persist to request one because of US and Israeli Nuclear Deceptions
