(NEWBERG, Ore.) - Three Newberg men were arrested for armed robbery Wednesday evening, moments after they held up a local convenience store, police say. The case investigation resulted in the arrest of two of the men in a robbery at another Newberg convenience store about 22 hours earlier. Sgt. Tim Weaver with Newberg-Dundee Police, says the first robbery occurred at Everybody's Market, 2113 Portland Road, Wednesday, about 1210 AM. "Two of the men in both robberies entered the store and demanded money. One had a large knife or machete, and allegedly threatened the clerk with the machete while pushing him toward the back of the store," Weaver said. One of the men also destroyed a couple counter top display of merchandise while emphasizing their demands according to Weaver. He says the two men fled the store on foot shortly after with an undisclosed amount of cash. Weaver says a police canine track was unsuccessful in locating suspects, but officers did recover a mask, believed to have been used in the robbery. Then about 11:00 PM Wednesday, three men entered and held up the Newberg Food Mart located at 1012 E. First. Weaver says a clerk called 9-1-1 to report the robbery after the men had left the store with an undetermined amount of cash. "A large knife or machete was reportedly carried by one of the men. Information was radioed to officers during the emergency call and a nearby Newberg-Dundee officer saw a car driving away from the area of the store, occupied by three men. The officer followed and stopped the car a few blocks away." The three men and their clothing descriptions given by the clerk in the robbery matched the men in the stopped car. Weaver says further investigation found a machete matching the description of the one used in both robberies. From the overnight investigation, officers charged two of the men with the earlier robbery at Everybody's Market. 20-year old Francisco Javier Vasquez-Reyes of Newberg, is charged with first degree armed robbery, second degree theft, second degree kidnapping, and menacing. He is alleged to be the one with the machete and threatened the clerk. A companion, 18-year old Jesus Alberto Vasquez-Reyes, also of Newberg, was charged with first degree robbery and second degree theft. The two men are reportedly brothers. From the Everybody's Market robbery, both men were charged identically for their involvement in the Newberg Food Mart robbery. Weaver says a third man, 18-year old Kevin John Marciniuk of Newberg, was charged with first degree robbery and second degree theft at the Newberg Food Mart. The three men are currently in the Yamhill County Corrections Facility in McMinnville. Francisco Javier Vasquez-Reyes' bail is set at $310,000. Four of the charges and counts are Measure-11 crimes. Jesus Alberto Vasquez-Reyes' bail is set at $210,000, with two Measure-11 crimes. Marciniuk is held on $155,000, both are Measure-11 crimes. Weaver says the men's appearances in Yamhill County Circuit court are pending. Bail amounts and charges may be changed as both cases are still under investigation. _________________________________________

The judge ruined Kevin's life Just to make a name for himself. A kid who's never gotten in trouble. Who was ready to go to his second olympic tryouts. The judge not only added a charge With no true evidence. And did not allow any character witnesses to come forward. Then instead of making his sentence Consecutive and put together. After the arraignment he decided to do them back to back to back making a five year sentence to a ten. With a charge that is untrue and has affected his life to this day. While the woman who accused him. Did the same thing multiple times to multiple men. It's an injustice and a crime on the Newberg court system. A young man ready to make amazing achievements Not only punished for his crime But of a heinous crime he never committed not only making his life after prison hard. But During time served It almost ended his life. For a lie. Absolutely disgusting Just a kid with no priors. And you take such a serious charge That was added on after everybody knew and newberg. Of the arrest and it just randomly comes up. Months after the supposed action had happened. No kit was taken nothing was said to anybody. And the people that could validate this was told not to take the stand explain to me how that makes any sense at all. But we thank you for the multiple jobs that hes been turned down for for a lie. A disgusting lie she should be in jail too. Shame on the court system. Shame on the attorney. Not to mention all the holidays and birthdays he messed with his nephew for a lie. s
