(ALBANY) - The investigation into Friday afternoon's Oregon State Police officer-involved shooting that left one man with mortal wounds and a police officer with gunshot injuries is continuing. The Linn County District Attorney's Office and investigators have released some additional details. They say an autopsy was completed Monday morning by Dr. Larry Lewman of the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office. Based upon the preliminary autopsy findings, Dr. Lewman indicated 26-year old John Paul Tolliver died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head that occurred during the events of the shooting, as it unfolded. Toxicology test results are pending. "In addition to the self-inflicted gunshot wound which remains to be confirmed through ballistics examination, Tolliver suffered 5 other wounds as the result of shots fired by the troopers," said Lewman. "These five other wounds – one to the right arm, one to the right leg, and three to the left leg – were survivable wounds." The shooting was documented on in-car video systems mounted in the trooper's patrol cars, but OSP says the videos will not be made available for the media pending a final decision by the Linn County District Attorney's Office. In addition, the continuing investigation related to the three armed robberies that occurred in the area of Interstate 5 northbound near milepost 142 north of Sutherlin about two hours before the shooting indicates Tolliver is a person-of-interest in these incidents. 2 2=3 I still want to see the tape of Rachel Lea Soto. I believe that the public (taxpayers of law enforcement) has a right to see reality and decide for themselves. If you want to see the most gruesome of beheadings go to www.ogrish.com and search under the 73 beheadings. The most horrible beheading to see is Eugene Armstrong. Too much reality is not what the public wants. When you see a person needlessly die including a law enforcement officer (another taxpayer), you start to have more compassion for all. Hiding reality just makes people more prone to allow violent actions in our society. When you see someone die, no matter what they did, it changes you. Warning! www.ogrish.com is for adults only. If you can take it, without emotion, you really are sick!
