Shooting on I-5 Closes Freeway

I-5 Northbound South of Albany Traffic Delayed For Officer Involved Shooting Investigation

(ALBANY) - Oregon State Police are involved in an officer involved shooting on Northbound Interstate 5 near mile post 232. According to OSP, at about 12:48 PM, troopers were involved in a high risk traffic stop of a car on Interstate 5 near milepost 235, which ended north of Albany at Millersburg. The trooper involved in the shooting was not injured, and one person is reported down. OSP says drivers should expect delays on northbound Interstate 5 until the investigation is complete.
