Bling, Bling vs Striving to make a Positive Difference

(SEOULE, South Korea) - From Paris Hilton, to Britney Spears our celebrities for the most part actually represent the values of society, why do I say this?

If one looks the lives of our celebrates today, most of them, if not all of them have abandoned the sanctity of marriage for the more convenient consensual sex, and those that do get married, for the most part don't practice abstinence until married and get divorced a couple of years down the road when the road seems to have to many pot holes, and it's just too much of a hassle to fix, much easier to find a another road and another partner to go with you on this new road, only to find this road is even worse than the first one, and the new partner a real irritation, and so the story goes with our celebrities including our local ones.

But, if we look at our own lives, we as a society from our youth to our adults, it's much the same.

We use our bodies like it's a toy for quick thrills, re sleeping around, to satisfy our own needs, which sees us becoming selfish and self centered, leading to a more of a bling, bling value system, to out do our friends re smart cars, houses and boats etc and so success is determined how bling you are!

So, we loose focus on the poor around us and those in need and are driven by selfish, materialistic ambitions, and it's not long down the road, that yesterdays kids grow up, within this culture of success not been about husbands and wives being faithful to each other and giving their kids a happy family environment with love, discipline and support and striving to fulfill a call of God on our lives to alleviate poverty, educate the poor, bring liberty to the oppressed and serve our communities but instead it's about money, clothes and bling.

So, when our celebrities (Fiona Coyne), leaders and kids of today commit suicide because of fear failure or current economic situation i.e not living up to the bling standard of today, and sadly, there are large numbers of kids today who've grown up in this selfish culture who are now committing suicide, it should be a wake up call for all us. It's good for kids to have pressure on them to perform at school etc but in a healthy balanced family atmosphere. So, stop working late 3 out of every 4 weeks to make enough money to ensure your car is as bling as your rich neighbour, uncle etc, but worry about whether or not you can afford to look after your family and help those around you who need it and whether you make spending time with God and your spouse and kids a top priority so that the most important aspects of your life are happy and healthy and know you love them regardless of their failures, and that if they failed at something, to know there's always next time or try something else that better suits you, but that the family will help find a way forward and this will see our kids and society at large marching forward even in their darkest moments and conquer darkness!

As the Lord says, "You can have all the money and power in the world, but without love, you've got nothing".

I just wanted to mention to all journalists that are exposing how corrupt these wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Israel/Palestine conflict etc are, I commend you for taking a brave stand against the darkness that is engulfing our world from mankind's wickedness, but at the same time wanted to say, please be careful, there are a lot very powerful and evil people out there who profit from these wars and also it furthers there own wicked political agenda's, and they will not appreciate you exposing the truth, so if you come under threat, as I said before, shuffle the deck, be it with another colleague or even with someone else in the News media business who can take the story forward, the more we unite against these wars, the more impossible it becomes to take aim at a single person, thus spreading the risk with the main objective to get the truth out there without compromising on our dignity and honesty, and at the same time, staying alive, you need to be as wise as a serpent, harmless as a dove and keeping the lamp shining the light in this darkness without compromising re integrity and honesty!

Greed is like a cancer of the heart and like any cancer, it will ultimately kill it's host. The problem is that a great deal of collateral damage is done during it's death throes (as we are now learning)!
