Americans Won't Back Attack on Iran

If Iran is attacked, a large percentage of Americans will have nothing to do with it.

(SALEM, Ore.) - Want to see the end of the world as we know it? If you do, you are in luck, because your chance to see the future of your kids and grandkids go up in smoke is nearing, and if the republicans and Israelis have anything to say about it, the grand final act will be here before you know it.

What will cause this? Israel. Why? Because the leaders of Israel's current political ambitions represent the dark forces of nature, that's why. Illegal occupation, stealing of land, demeaning an entire population of indigenous people and murder, plenty of murder... that is why.

Whose fault will it be if it happens? The United States, Great Britain and Canada primarily, followed by several less significant nations which either abstained from entering the right vote, or voted in the UN not to investigate Israel for war crimes in both Gaza and Lebanon.

Israel was created by an act of deception. British, Russian and American forces defeated the Third Reich so people could return to their homes and live in peace.

Unfortunately, many Jewish people moved to Israel, and that is where the problems that choke the Middle East every day since, began.

People like Helen Thomas, who lived then, remember this. The idea that one of the most esteemed news professionals in the nation could be taken down over simply talking about it, creates the current picture. The Palestinians have paid the price for Hitler's dirty deeds for over sixty years now.

The treatment Israel reserves for native Palestinians is something that Americans would never dole out, except by proxy. Genocide, the attempt to wipe a whole culture off the map, ethnic and religious discrimination at epic levels; this is the reality of Israel. The consensus seems to be that anything Israel does is OK, even if it flies in the face of common human decency.

I predict that the issue will divide the United States into two permanent camps. It is interesting that the side that would root for Israel are the neocons; American right wing Christians, so often associated with hypocrisy, warmongering, using false information to start wars, etc.

Israel and the US hold the keys to the world's future. This matter is not in the hands of Iran. Their leaders have stated over and over that they do not have the desire or need to create nuclear weapons, and most of us believe they would be entitled to do so anyway. Israel has them, illegally, so what is the big deal?

If someone wanted to convince me that we have failed as a human race, I would be an easy sell. As much as I want to see a bright future exist for my children, I have my doubts about their chances of actually seeing it.

Greed, greed, greed! That is the motivation of capitalists, and the Israelis represent the first religion willing to charge interest in financing, which the Bible clearly states should not take place. The Muslims held out, have always assisted each other without charging interest. I respect that very much. I guess maybe that explains why so few Muslim people are in banking.

If the United States backs an attack on Iran, a large percentage of Americans will have nothing to do with it.

Protests and riots will begin and never stop. The US military will splinter and fall into factions. The US economy will collapse, more Americans will be sent to die in another needless war.

Terrorism, the kind Bush lied and preached about with his dire warnings that never came to pass, will become a daily reality. Ask people in other parts of the world what it is like to live that way. Ask the Iraqi people, they know a great deal about it, thanks to the United States' death machine.

Attacking Iran, a nation with no history of aggression toward others, over the Israeli propaganda and lies, will be the final act. What a sick world and society we have. What a twisted and sad thing religion is.

This song by the Flobots says it all, please check it out if you haven't watched it:

Bonnie...since the Koran was written long before there was either an United States or an Israel, your assertation that it calls for the destruction of countries that were thousands of years from existing is ludicrous...I seriously doubt you have read one word of the Koran.

After my last post, I heard an interview with alex jones and ron paul. its those friggin neo-cons that need to go straight to heck. the neocons may use this fake republican thing for cover, but they are not, they are just...grrr, I dont like them. If you want to know what is going on in congress, in regards to Iran strike, watch this 1/3 video, you can find 2/3, 3/3 if interested. Highly suggested, you can ignore alex, but Ron Paul is the most honest, tell it like it is person in DC, and knows what is going on since he works there. Just so you know, I kinda like Alan Greyson (D), and kinda liked dennis K, until he changed his vote after a plane ride with obama. So, I am not about parties, I am for truth. here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F_0H7pnNGE If you want to know more about the pakistani general mentioned in wikileaks, it is beyond eye opening...here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZC7WL6S6f0

I understand about the christian fundamentalists, and the republicans, but with a democratic president, and democratic controlled house, isnt that enough to stop this thing? And keep in mind, democrats in control, democratic president: 1. approval for more money in the failed war in afghanistan, and more troops. 2. war protests during bush era have completely stopped. 3.Pro israel Pac donations show way more democrats than republicans. 4. The letter passed around in DC to support unwavering support for israel was bi-partisan. I have more but you get the point. Not trying to be argumentative, just wondering.

I dont know...I really thought the sh*t would hit the fan when the US invaded Iraq...but it didnt.. The protests got smaller and smaller instead of bigger..there were a few sporatic acts of illegal resistance, but not many..maybe 100 or so in the entire US... Never underestimate the American people's capacity for denial and apathy and fearfulness. However, America is a different place than it was in 2003. People are hurting on a larger scale and the complacency and comfort that keep the peasants in line has eroded...People who do not have much else to lose are dangerous to the Powers That Be.

From the Biblical point, we are in the end times, end of the world. Muslims of Osama and Pres of Iran, long for their Messiah to come and will do anything for that to happen, the Jesus of Islam. The only way that will happen is, IN THEIR BIBLE Qur'an or Koran, you have to wipe out the little God and Big God. That is United States and Israel. This gives Muslims the order to kill off the remnant of the Christians and Jews with greater zeal. Not all Muslims believe this, but Osama Muslims believe the killings have to be great, huge, bloody, massive and kill many in order for their Messiah to come which is their goal. In the Christian BIBLE we are in the end times and need to be ready for the rapture. I for one do not want to be left behind during the 7 year tribulation on this earth. The first horse of the 4 horses stated in Revelation 6 is about deception and we are currently in it. United States needs to back Israel or God's wrath will be upon us. God has always taken care of Israel, but we need to heed and be ready, not just sit back and watch it happen. Iran has stated many times they want to wipe Israel off the map. This world has changed dramatically in the last couple of years and it is gearing up for the end times and one world order and that is when the antichrist will reveal himself. Do not want an attack, but do not want to sit and do nothing. By the way, I thought it was interesting an Iranian stole a laptop from Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant in Arizona with all the drawings, makings, and configurations of our nuclear power plant and the president of Iran, who wants power, should not be president. It was an unfair election and we all know it.

Tim King: You remind me of the bumper sticker 'Who would Jesus bomb?'  You can take your Christianity and Bible rewritten to serve the needs of Kings and represent the needs of Muslims if you want, and the Wahabiists are very negative, but if you honestly believe your have a God that would condemn those little Palestinian children, so bright and in need of a normal productive life that Israel with the backing of the US won't allow, then we have to agree to disagree.  Let's see, in the Bible people are allowed to own slaves, beat their wives.  Yeah, that doesn't work for me.  Of course the Muslims believe in the Bible stories too, they believe in Adam and Eve and David and Goliath and the whole thing.  In fact that is interesting, because Israel has gone from being David to assuming the role of Goliath.  Israel oppresses and murders Palestinian people every day.  But you made it clear, you are worried about what happens to you.  That is the great example of why this is all so bogus.  You base your life on being allowed to enter heaven, and that is a selfish desire.  You back Israel's murder of innocent people because you think it gives you a key to heaven.  No friggin' way is my response to that.  You receive good in life as a result of doing good and it isn't direct and the first thing a good person does is oppose racism and violence and oppression.  Good people don't go wage wars and kill people and brutalize countries.  I can go on, this is the epitome of what is taking place, I must say that.
