And if the guy would have done as the cop ask him to do would have been no shooting!

There are too many uneducated people who think they know it all and that their way is the only way. Only the officer and the criminal (yes, CRIMINAL) know what really happened and police officers are trained to avoid using their weapon if possible. Obviously he felt he needed to use it, and you know what...I don't blame him. If it were between my life and a criminals life, sorry I'd shoot the idiot too! When you commit an illegal act, you know the consequences. I think the officer did the right thing by shooting him to protect his own life!

Any cop, Who do you think you are by talking to Dmitry that way? You might think about shutting your pie hole and listening for a change!

Sue August 15, 2007 9:22 am (Pacific time)

Dmitriy: Maybe you should become a cop and show them how it is done. I don't know what happened and neither do you. And, yeah, there are bad cops, but most of them are out there risking their lives for people like you who are ready to hang them out to dry.

Dmitriy, shut your pie hole. Go chase a tweeker running from a stolen car with only escape on his mind before you judge anyone's actions in this case

This is the second fatal shooting by this "peace officer".

Grimace August 15, 2007 7:19 am (Pacific time)

Maybe you should find out the entire facts before you start condemning the cops. From what I understood, there was a struggle for the officers taser gun, and that's why the shooting occured. The officer was sent to the hospital for his injuries, so he wasn't just shooting someone while they were lying helpless on the ground.

Dmitriy August 15, 2007 6:41 am (Pacific time)

the state of oregon should start charging those cops with murder who kill those people they deal with ,dont the cops go thru traning to catch those people and not just shoot them wile they helpless on the groud
